At least you can FIND details of your local booby clubs! I can't seem to locate anything other than LLL lectures (which sound dead boring BTW). I mean there must be stuff, but I'm clueless and the HV didnt want to tell me about any groups til Finn was 6 weeks .

Beenie, I'm jealous of that bouncer you bought. Do I have the only baby that hates going in a bouncing cradle/chair thing? He just cries and it doesn't amuse him the least. oh well, at least only cost £5 at car boot! He might like it if it was fancy one like yours with lights though...

Feeling loads better (100% again!) thanks all. Finn is being grouchy puss this morning. He's also been feeding loads but thinnk that might be the sickness made my milk go down slightly.
top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

would like to win a holiday, please!!

I heard that the recommended portions a day is much higher in mainland Europe so I try not to worry too much about myself or Benjamin (I too can happily eat 8 portions of fruit during the working day). Maybe SS can enlighten us but I am sure it is 8??

I think you have got a bad case of baby brain lady ;):D
Weezl posted a link possibly on another thread that said adults should ideally have 5 portions of fruit and 4 of veg IIRC and the kids one was more than 5 too.
I think B had much more than that though (not that I think thats bad) but I think 20 grapes for example is about 3 or 4 portions to a baby - isn't a portion of fruit a handful, as in a baby's handful for a baby so a tangerine is a portion for an adult but about 1/2 for a baby?? smiley-confused013.gif

Sparkle - I hope you feel better soon, if not maybe speak to your GP because what you say sounds sort of like what rmac said she was feeling xxx

3 - are kwik fit not expensive? I avoid chain mechanic things like the plague coz I don't trust 'em though lol but anyway you could just turn up at a tyre place and they'd have your tyres done in about 15 mins

Beenie - here you have to book your own 6-8wk check and they won't give baby they're first jabs if they've not had it, we had a big faff over this with Edgar.

The best thing about being pregnant for me was no migraines :D but its a bit drastic to be pregnant forever. :rotfl:

It is just a little bit ;)

Thanks for listening to me moan ladies, I feel a bit silly now but also a little bit better if that makes any sense at all? :) Think I just need to boot myself up the backside and anyone else who annoys me (Watch out Mr Sparkle)

It's part of the car deal thingy, so is a freebie but you have to go through Kwik Fit. I'd booked it in one day last week, but they'd ordered the wrong tyres in, so said they'd come out and do it at the house to save me going back up there.

Aless Have you tried net mums or googling your local sure start centre? Net Mums advertises a few things for my area. HV didn't tell me about anything so I found my sure start centre and phoned them - they sent out a list of what they do in my area.
And the local library does a couple of Mum & baby mornings, but also advertises other stuff.

Our 6 week check was included with the appointment for the jabs.

3 - is there a neighbour or another parent who lives close by who could maybe give DS a lift?

Sami - do you still have your mei tai? Do you use it much? Just asking cause I was bidding on one on ebay, but as Caitlyn's almost 7 months I don;t know whether I'd use it much. I know it's suitable until they're toddlers - but they get heavy as they get older!

He's at a special school 12 miles away, so all of the children are on transport, but my DS has decided he doesn't like the transport home (even though its exactly the same as the transport into school in the morning which he's fine with!).

School Head, Me & the transport department are trying to sort something out, but after speaking to transport on Thursday i'm not holding my breath. Mr Transport was a clueless pillock! :D

I have got four days left of the current pack, which I ran back to back with the last one as it was my birthday beg of Jan and didnt want to be on. I dont think there is any set pattern but have been on it now since Lexi was about 10 weeks old and it just doesnt seem to be 'right'. Will pop in and get an app when I go and get J from school!
