Hey all

Just been skim-reading through last couple of days.

Saw a couple of people mentioned child benefit so thought i'd let you know I sent the form off on 15th Jan as soon as we'd got Evie registered & had birth certificate, & i got the letter back today to confirm it - BUT I also got £20 for the 1st week (she was born 26th Dec) in my bank on Friday & £80 for the last 4 weeks (inc this one) in my bank today.

So all in all, I am pretty impressed with how quick & efficient they've been having the reply and the first 4 weeks payment in 10 days. Now just to get tax credits form sent off......

hi everyone,

hmmm.... must look into this 'sophie' that MFD and feely are friends off. LO doesn't seem to be too fussed about any of the teething things that i have bought, expect for a butterfly thing that when you bite a part of it it vibrates.

3 - great fairy gift there.

elle - rhys' antics have me smiling all the time. LO was like that until one day when she was about 4 months she decided she didn't want a dummy anymore. she sees it as a toy now.

must go and have a quick catch up

well we're on attempt number 40 to get Finn down for a nap. He's been tired/grumpy for over 2 hours but keeps either waking up, needing a change, wanting feeding, etc. Tried doing a bit of co-sleeping this morning as he never wants to go back down after his last feed (6am this morning). Not sure it helped as he still didn't sleep, but at least I got to lay in my own bed rather than up and down trying to soothe him! I'm hoping this problem goes away as his night feedings decrease, but we'll see!

SS - isn't that always the way?

AF We've got the vibrating butterfly too - she doesn't like it! (That sounds like something from Ann Summers! Honestly, it was from Mothercare! :rotfl:)

There are quite a few new Sophies on ebay for £10.00 + 1.95 p&p.

Evie woke up at 7am yesterday so picked her up & put her in our bed while I got ready to feed her and she was fast asleep in a few seconds & slept for another hour!

:rotfl:i must admit i had to retype my post as it sounded like something from their catalogue when i did so initially.

shame she doesn't like it ... ours flies too (only when LO is having a strop and it gets thrown from the pushchair)

Our limit of five is only on fruit so she has veg too. And generally they are adult size portions so more than a portion to her. A typical day might be two bananas, an apple, 2tbsp sultanas and an orange.
