Oh my life.. I'm stunned! I just spoke to a friendly receptionist, who immediately offered me an appointment at 10.50am today! Can't make that one because of Rhys so got 2.40pm instead.. I'm amazed they have appointments for today.. :)

Hi, just popping on quickly. Got a busy day here too.

Dora, good luck today. Will be thinking about youx

Beenie, Do try to go to booby group, or as becles said, at least go out for a walk and try to get some fresh air. I try to go out at least once a day if i can. By the way DD only got her braces off her teeth last week and she'll be over the moon to see you noticed them. They used to be so bad. She has 3 rows of teeth in the same place at one point.

Elle, hope you get sorted at the docs and your dads hospital appt goes okay.

AF, I agree with the others. Do whatever you feel is right. I know we all spend so much time worrying about what is supposed to be right. Things are improving tho in the way you want them to go.

Hope everyone has a lovely day and i'll pop back on later x

Why, when I have a baby who sleeps for ten hours, do I only get four hours sleep?

    Hehe - mine slept for 12, I nearly managed 6 :o
Hubby is away tonight, what are the chances of me doing something useful and having an early night and not wasting my night on here???

Fingers crossed for your dad, Rhysy and you xxx

Sounds like Alice - we have a rule of no more than five per day. I have no idea how she doesn't have the runs.

I heard that the recommended portions a day is much higher in mainland Europe so I try not to worry too much about myself or Benjamin (I too can happily eat 8 portions of fruit during the working day). Maybe SS can enlighten us but I am sure it is 8??

I'm never sure how much babies should be eating, so I go by Molly - she eats when she's hungry and stops when she's full. I do hope she eats fruit like Susan and Benjamin (was Benjamin, wasn't it? I've not confused him with someone else again?). But then I do relatively few nappies.

I think you have got a bad case of baby brain lady ;):D

Speaking of bottles, when are they "supposed" to be off bottles/teats? *confused* We've not bothered much with Rhys sippy cup yet (the TT basic one) because he only drinks milk (for the calories), but I gave him it earlier and he grabbed it with two hands and put it to his mouth  Didn't get owt out of it because I hadn't put the spout up thinking he wouldn't know what to do with it! :o

Henry still has his night-time milk in a TT bottle using no 3 teat.

Got 6-8 week check for me and William today.... sorry to ask but will dr be looking at my stitches? Obvioudly last time she did but that was cos it was a C Section?

William brought nearly all his morning bottle up this morning - lovely !!!

Hope you all have good productive days - raining here so could be fun couped up with a 2 year old!
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.
  • I dont think they do anymore unless there is something you want them to check out Maz. But I guess each doctor is different, never checked mine with J (but that was nearly 7 yrs ago) Didnt have any after Lexi.

I knew there was a reason i love this thread. :o

Harley thanks it's nice knowing we're in the same boat, i must admit i feel really depressed when i see others' posting about their lovely OH's and still can't believe he did this. Doesn't help that i still love him, i'd never be happy if i was back with him but i still dream that he'll change.
Also i second Sami's suggestion about using Turbo Lister. I do all my listings in there as and when i have time, and then upload them all to ebay on a Sunday at 9pm, i've always thought that was eBay's busiest time but not sure what's on TV on a Sun anymore.

Becles i have a dog so really should be out and about, i haven't taken her to the big park since i had Amber though, so she's been on the field at the back of the house. In my defence it was snowing, and she was in heat and she runs off, and now she's got a poorly paw so vet said not to walk her lol. She's a pita on the lead too, i must try a halti collar, cos i had a thread about it ages ago but never actually did anything about it. (Really missing the rolleyes smiley) But yeah i need to get out more cos i want to lose weight aswell but cba with dieting :rotfl:

Susan that would be good, seeing as all them southerners are having meets of their own we can have a mini meet :D

I don't think i'm gonna go today :o I don't have a real reason except being really tired, Amber was brill last night but i couldn't sleep - v.frustrating. She slept from 10:30pm - 5am, then i fed her in bed and she slept 5am - 8am. The HV said i'll be invited to baby massage but not til she's 3 months old - i'm not as worried about that one as she said everyone is new together. But that doesn't mean i'm not going to go to booby group ever, i will definitely go next week, and have bookmarked this page with the encouragement to help me. I'm going to arrange to visit an old work colleague today, she always keeps my mind off stuff cos she's a professional gossip-monger.

Maz you've reminded me... I was ranting about my HV abandoning me last night - no one has even offered me a 6 week check, she's 5 weeks today, i would have thought they'd have made the appt already. The midwife has made an appointment to see me in July lol? (They gave me the anti-D 3 hours too late so need to check my bloods again?)

And they've still not been to pick up the gas and air from my home birth. Me = doesn't exist.
