AF, if she needs a feed and you are happy to give her it, then you do what is right for You and Your child, not what other people think is what you should be doing
She is happy and healthy, so you know you are doing a good job
Night tara, hope you get a good nights sleep xx

LOL I was thinking about it earlier.. I wondered if everyone had read back and understood where it came from, or if they just thought you were bigging yourself up?
Speaking of where it came from.. where is Beenie tonight? Did ex-OH show up this weekend? Hope all is okay xxI've been lurking, trying not to post on here too much, i'm not very helpful and usually only rant or waffle. So if i contain it to one boring post then people can skip it and i'm not clogging the thread!
No he didn't show up, no surprise really i'm just seriously annoyed that he rang me twice to say he definitely was, and then didn't ring to say he wasn't. Does he think i'm going to let him have the chance to do that to Amber when she's old enough to notice? I tried to keep it from DS but he overheard me on the phone and was looking forward to seeing him, even though i tried to say he prob wouldn't come.
Anyway i sent a text to the phone i now know to be his mothers, asking him not to get in touch anymore as he's messed us around enough. She replied saying i was a liar (umm, how?) and that she busy with her "beautiful grandchildren". Is she trying to say Amber isn't? She's never even seen her. What a f*cked up thing to say. Sick of it all now, i have no idea why they think i deserve it, i never did anything to him except keep giving him chances.
See? Rant rant...:p
Went to Tesco today and bought Amber one of these http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.100-4028.aspx which was reduced to £25, but had £50 sticker on. I don't know if i should have really, cos they're not in them long but i wanted one with lights. She already has this one, which is nice but is more for relaxing than play, and it was nice to put her in the new one while i cooked tea as she sat and watched the lights quite happily.
Also bought a 6ft Xmas tree for £2 down from £25.And DS some new school shoes and a coat, i only went there for school trousers for him but they had nothing in his size. He must have had a mega growth spurt cos he was in 5-6 about 3 months ago lol, but his 6-7 stuff is getting too small already.
Not needed the gipe water tonight and last night, she's been fine - think she must really hate the stuff so has made an extra effort to burp

HI SAMI
that's the way i am starting to look at it to be honest. if she wants it, she wants it. she can't 'tell me' and i hate the thought of her being hungry and crying for milk and i am not giving it to her.
anyway, it's me that's up during the night with her, not them so they can poodle off.
i am finding myself extremely tired by friday night with her still waking at night though and being back at work. i am not doing myself any favours by eating rubbish. think i'm going to get myself some multi vitamins and take them when i take my pill so i remember (although been forgetting that quite a bit lately) and just give myself a bit of a head start that way and start eating better x0 -
He started off on gaviscon which didn't help much if at all, then moved onto ranitidine which made things worse not better. He's now on Domperidone which makes food move the system very quickly and suppresses the vomit reflex and Losec which cuts down the production of stomach acid. He's only been on the last two for a week and he seems a bit happier, but still upchucks for England, and his weight gain is still very low.
He doesn't let me put him down much during the day so usually spends most of the day upright, but crying. He doesn't sleep at all during the day, but sleeps well at night bizarrely, without needing the cot head to be raised. I will try putting him on his side in the daytime and see if he will settle that way. Thanks for the tip.
Hi all,
Just swung by the thread and I'm still 5 pages from caught up but as I'm on way to bed I thought I'd reply -
yes Losec is a brand name for omeprazole
Sounds like your situation is similar to ours when Elijah was 2-4 months; lots of vomit, some misery, no weight gain etc... he fell off the weight charts entirely for a bit. We went through Gaviscon, ranitidine, Maxolon Paediatric, and then omeprazole+domperidone started working and we're still on it 7 months later. No great advice here though... but definitely give it a week or so on the meds before assuming they're not working.
We were aware that the camera-type gastric exploration could've been a further step if no meds helped, but we didn't reach that stage.
Fingers crossed for you - hoping medication works, at the very very worst I understand it's a really minor, safe surgical procedure so there is a solution even if it's really really serious reflux.
Sorry not catching up on the rest of the pages, must sleep!0 -

*slaps hand on MM's forehead* Are you poorly?!
How many more weeks until you go back... three?
Nighty night xx0 -
lol MM, yeah i like reading it but my posts are usually self centred where everyone else remembers to ask after others. I have the world's worst memory - i always have. All i can remember from lurking today is that Nicki came back lol.
Oh and that i liked angela's pic and i wish i had teeth like her DD. (i hate my teeth)
And i hope Aless is better soon, and i wondered how Feelie is cos she seemed better yesterday?
Night night MM x0
