    27 :eek::eek: an absolute baby!!!

Actually, thinking about it when I said to hubby that I was really grateful for him helping out around the house (he had hoovered twice, done the bins, the dishwasher and the laundry so I was laying it on thick!!) he said it was because I was working now. What did he think I was doing when I was at home with the baby???

You would think at 43 he would learn to think before he speaks *rolleyes*
My OH helped out lots when I worked, aparently a SAHM must cook n clean whilst looking after ALL housework smiley-rolleyes010.gif but if our CM did all her cooking and cleaning while looking after children he'd be fuming!

Oooh, the BBC website has a discussion going about Air France charging more for people who are so heavy they take up two seats, based on situations like this one.

I say that's a safety hazard if someone's taking up half the aisle, and I've sat beside people on a few flights ([STRIKE]mostly[/STRIKE] all to/from/within the USA) who were so wide they encroached on my seat over and under the armrest. I've also travelled with my ex, who was not at all fat but very tall and very broad across the shoulders, so he also encroached on other people. [It actually had the side effect of making me very comfortable with cramped travel because I got so used to curling up in my seat so he could have my legroom.]

IMO, if there's an empty seat available, a person who requires extra room for whatever reason should be put next to it - whether that person is very tall, very broad or travelling with a baby.

Having said that, I did read an account of a man who was very fat who booked two seats for his own comfort - and was checked in with his two seats across an aisle *rolleyes*

Edit: Caz, what a PITA, I'm sorry :(

  • Caz - I really don't know what to say hun, I am so sorry...

...other than I could swear that you have posted the exact same message before, months ago, and it makes me very sad.

You know we are always here for you, but ultimately we are just people miles apart and other than some mental support there is not much we can do. I honestly don't have a clue what I would do in your situation.

SS - I travelled in front of a couple who booked 3 seats so they could share the extra room...and this was already in Premium Economy! Some of the economy seats are absolutely tiny - width wise as well as leg room. On a couple of occasions now I have asked for money from family for christmas or birthdays so we can upgrade to PE. I hate being cramped.

((Hugs)) Caz. What an ar5e! Has he been any help with the children? Where's he been?
If you're both certain its over it's probably not good that he's still staying there. Has he got nowhere to go?, family?, friends?, for the short term.

SS I totally agree, after spending a 5 hour flight home from Egypt squashed into OH because the man sitting the other side of me was overspilling onto my seat.

argh, can't catch up with your sppeed of gossip, need to learn how to skim read better!

thanks for the replies last week about child benefit application times - there was me planning on using that as my spending money for Feb and using my smp to clear the overdraft when who should knock on the door at 9am but the meter reading blokey to do the gas AND leccy meters. Sorry to go on about money again but I've been working since 16 whenever I could and have only signed on for about 3 months in 20 years and the idea of being only on SMP and reliant so much on dp's earnings is scary.

off to meet friend from aquanatal today for the first time since our little boys arrived, be lovely to catch up. If I get Thomas to have a nap later before dp gets in from work, will try and catch up with you all too!

Beenie - here you have to book your own 6-8wk check and they won't give baby they're first jabs if they've not had it, we had a big faff over this with Edgar.

Got to do ours seperately here too. I might as well not have been there for checkup - mind you she's a horrible Dr!!! William is doing great weight wise etc and is very strong apparently - like I didnt know that... he just doesnt want to sleep, (think he has had 20 mins since we woke up at 7.30!!!).

Just looked at his and Henry's red books and at this stage they are within 2 ozs of each other.
Info on fruit and veg portion sizes here- http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/5ADAY/Pages/Portionsizes.aspx

We looked at a website at work once that showed portion sizes and it was mad what counted as a portion ie 7 cherry tomatoes is a portion
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.
