Caz - if that's how he is and he's been like it for a while then I don't think you'll be able to change his behaviour :( It must be really hard for you on your own with 5 children - I struggle if I'm on my own for just a day with 2. I really don't know what to say other than keep strong, and don't let his pathetic attitude get to you - he's the one losing out.

Is there a trick for getting babies to chew teethers? Rhys is going to either chew a hole in his sleepsuit sleeve or chew one of his fingers off at this rate..

There's a bf support group on tomorrow. Keep thinking i should go and get myself 'out there' but i'm scared. I imagine i'll just end up sitting in a corner on my own and look like an idiot. I have no idea what to expect, and we're not having any problems with bf'ing at the mo so nothing to break the ice with. Sounds silly i know. I'm just really shy and lacking in confidence at the min. I'll end up not going, but then i'm stuck at square one, and not getting any adult conversation ever. Grr i'm such a saddo, feel like i'm sinking. So much for not posting, knew i'd end up ranting!

beenie - http://www.dcsf.gov.uk/everychildmatters/earlyyears/surestart/fundedsettings/childrenscentresmap/ sorry if I am intruding but try a visit to one of these, the one near me has a list of groups on the fence outside so you can see whats going on anytime. Also they may have a hv clinic there so you can take little one there for weighing. I went to a post natal group there which was a good icebreaker - Thomas was the youngest one by a few weeks so don' think you've missed out if they have a group there. And talking on childrens centres, we need to get ready to get him weighed! He was 7lbs 5.5 oz 2 weeks ago, at nearly 4 weeks which was good as he'd finally regained his birthweight of 7lbs 1. Given the rate he's been guzzlinhg recently, he'll probably be off the scale now!!!!

    Buy a Sophie ;)

It is honestly, honestly the best teether ever. I know they are expensive but they really work. I have sent Benjamin to his CM with his today.

MFD - did you know Toby also has a soft Sophie, a bath Sophie and a "Chan Pie Gnon"?

That's the one! I think I paid less than that, less than £12 delivered. But I will never buy another teether again...compared to buying another one every couple of months to try and get one that works!! If you read the bumf then they need different teethers for different teeth but Sophie does them all.

I really don't regret buying one...although I would if I lost it :rotfl:

Feely - you will not make me jealous with your multiple sophieness!!!

LOL Rhys is sat on my knee. He had his dummy in his mouth, took it out and was passing it about, then dropped it. I asked if he could put it back in his mouth, so he picked it up, put it in his mouth, took it out again and shoved the other fist in instead! :rotfl: Clearly grubby hands taste better! :o

GRR. I made a big effort today to arrange my day to take the monster to a mamas and babies group. She's not slept more than 45 minutes at a stretch in three days ... except that mamas and babies started 15 minutes ago and she's now been asleep for two hours. HMPH.
