How awful Squishy, I think it would freak me out a bit too if I knew someone it had happened to. We are all so lucky really. Each and every one of us may grump about our OH's not doing the washing up, staying out late, and our LO's not eating or sleeping, but those things are nothing really are they. Hope you're ok xx

I'm okay - it's weird, you know? Have this horrible feeling like even mentioning it might jinx me and it could happen - feel awful for thinking like that, feel so sorry for the poor girl. We're all meeting up next week and I think we might be sending her some flowers.

Edit: meant to say earlier - I would love to meet you weezl, but am really too far away so send lots of virtual meeting up hugs. :)

JAM, I think you've gone for the day but sorry I didn't see your question about nappies sooner. Finn is still really young so no idea about the rolling over problem, but we use a mix of terries & some Motherease one-size I got used. The terries seemed hugely bulky at first but now I think I've got the folding technique down and they seem more stream-lined. The one-size are actually bulkier but only b/c he's still so young IYSWIM. I just try and snapper them as tightly as possible and try and roll them in a little at the leg which seems to help slightly. I think it's just a matter of fiddling around and finding the best fit for your baby!

maybe buy a sample of 1 or 2 other brands to see if maybe the fit on them works better for your LO? after all, all babies are shaped differently so maybe he just needs a different nappy! I'm still new to this too so these are just ideas :D

weezl - isn't jha in Cardiff as well? ;)

It would appear I have broken the thread.....or you have all run away...

Edit: oh, aless is still here :hello:
I've just filled a vase with a whole lot of nice things from lush, and the smell is great :)
  • What Em said.

I currently have a very tired baby who won't go to sleep. We're watching cbeebies instead, and will try again in a bit. I've been trying to cut her nails while she is distracted, and nearly did them all, but now she has jumped off my lap and is playing the drum instead - I know she will get me with one of the 3 claws she has left, but never mind. :rotfl:

I should be doing a job application now, but I've done the easy bits, and I'm nackered.

Squish how awful for your friend! :( OH's uncle n aunty lost a very LO when he was young and still has scary dreams about the tiny coffin.

JAM I wouldn't worry about the nappies, i mean back in the day all babies wore terry squares and got about fine :)

Squishy - how awful for them! You hear about these things happening, but it must really shock you when it happens to someone you know. ((hugs)).

Em & Mel I know exactly what you mean, but as you said Em, we've got lots of new mums on lately who'll have more questions, and more time to ask them!
(We must have been the same last year).

I do try to catch up but its usually impossible!

Feelie Are you due a trip ooop north any time soon? First week of Feb would be good then you can come to the TC with us.

:A Thanks Sami, I don't feel so bad now - I can bore everyone with my woes and you can feel free to "bore" me with your great Christopher and Ed adventures!

By the way, who has stolen my grinchbag????? I have a son who refuses to sleep in his cot, who adores waking on the hour, every hour at night, who thinks naps during the day is for sissies and has screamed the house down since his 1st jabs on Tuesday BUT last night he slept from 11.30 to 6.30 straight through :T, he positively beamed at everyone he met when we went in to town this morning and is now sleeping IN HIS COT and has been for an hour .
