You guys that use the real nappies? I am using Bambino Mio for C and am thinking of giving up. I don't have a problem with the practicalities of them but my poor girl can barely move her legs in them cos they are sooooo big and bulky. Is it just the brand I have bought or are they all like that? I remember SS (I think) saying her LO couldn't roll cos of the nappy and I feel the same way. As she gets more mobile will it get better or worse???

PS Sleep training last night lasted til 1.30 and then I got too tired and she was really upset so I brought her in with me. Won't help her I know but at least we all got some sleep!

I've been fretting a bit about labour. Also a bit worried about what happens to fergie while it all goes on. I really clung to DH with fergie, so I don't want to do it without him. :o
I'm sure most multi paras have this worry when planning a HB but I'm sure it'll be fine, Chris slept through about 5hrs of my labour (including OH hoovering before the MW arrived :rotfl:) when he woke up I put on a brave face and gave him a cuddle before Granddad collected him tbh if he was younger like fergie he probably would have been fine to stay in his cot/baby jail playing but as he's older he could walk round and would be upset by me making noises he knows mean pain.
I think you said you have someone to look after him if he wakes so you'll be fine :kisses3:

Harley - i totally understand your situation, when Chris was born FIL said he wanted to pay into an account, I set up the halifax regular saver 3 times because even though I gave him the details and told him he had to set up the SO within the month or it would close he forgot to do it everythime so I gave up! (this would be less annoying if FIL didn't work in the IT dept his bank at the time, how can you forget!?)
Anyway Chris will just have to hope that ILs are still well off and give him a lump sum when he's older but I certainly would count on it or expect it though.
anyhoo on the DD thing I set up the lower one and then cancelled it after i got the vouchers but tbh isn't an amazing deal coz it's 'only' a fiver you gain plus you'll get more for your money in a high interest account anyway

Jam what fold are you using for the inners? There might be a less bulky one? We use Bambino mio, the boy fold doesn't go round fergies legs :)

Elle, yeah only mockery. Mean bunch! Fergie's going to his first friend's birthday party today at 4 :) Friend is 1. I'll report back what she did. She's got a 4-6 slot for his baby friends, a 6 til whenever slot for his grown up friends and a 2-4 ish slot tomorrow for family :D

Sami, thanks. Baby prison with lots of toys could be good. :)

Have only skim read a couple of pages, but just wanted to say I've felt exactly the same way as Mel for a couple of weeks now, hence my not posting quite as much :(

I think its cos we've had a huge influx of new pregnancy threaders with babies still of an age that they stay where you put them and sleep most of the day ;) your times will come!! Mwohahahaha! :rotfl:

I dont want to turn this into a "thing", but I will say I was quite disappointed to see a local meet had been arranged. I couldnt have made it anyway as its going to be on a Friday which I work, which is why I dont want anything made of me posting this, but it would have been nice to be remembered IYSWIM.

Have had a hectic morning today, went into town and treated myself to some new make up using my Boots vouchers saving myself £16 on stuff I needed anyway, made a cake, cleaned the kitchen, did 3 loads of washing and even managed time for a cuppa and to turn the lappy on, and Seth is still asleep :) I thought he'd wake up as soon as I sat down but he is being nice to me today apparantly :rotfl:

It's much easier now she's a bit stronger. What we did was make sure she got nudey bum tummy time every day on a towel so she learned to roll over without the nappy, and now she has the thing on and can shuffle around with it. Her latest trick is turning herself at right angles *rolleyes* I took her to sleep on the sofa around 4am so OH could get some sleep, and woke up with her using my hip as a convenient push-off point to turn sideways and take up all the room.

She can roll now, but seems to prefer not to. She can sit for a short time before gently falling over, and holds her own weight on her feet in the Learn and Groove and the bouncer, so I'm not worried about her non-rollyness.

Big hugs Em - I love hearing about Seth and sorry you felt left out. I was a little bit sad over Christmas when I didn't get to meet anyone too.

Sorry Emlou, I'm dreadful at remembering who is where. Whereabouts in Hampshire are you? What days can you do? I wonder if a Monday would be better?

Don't feel bad about mentioning it, I remember being hurt at the TC meet, when I wanted to go but couldn't :(
