When I was a child I used to get given things with Sue on because they never did Susan. I used to hate it because it's not my name. These days I would have thought you could get any name on eBay.

Itcan be fiddly but in the past with Aston I put a small bit in the teat of a bottle and put it in his mouth so he could suck and swallow.

battery is dying, Krystal depressed me (I was hoping to crack it open and fix it myself see) and the PC upstairs is soooo slow I may be back on next year.

feelie, dont know about meeting mums, but its against the law to take a baby without a seat in a car. When Jas was younger and I had no car, I always asked the taxi firm to send me a driver that would be still working when I was going to be going home again and was allowed to keep the car seat in their boot while I was away

It isn't illegal in Taxis here, I am uncomfortable with the idea, but I'm so isolated and worried about Toby being stuck inside, never seeing anyone.

I couldn't leave a seat with the taxi, as we only have Hackney Carriages, no boot.

Don't know about meeting mums but taxis are one of the few exceptions where you are allowed to not use a carseat.

Perhaps if you find some online AP style groups you might be able to find out from them where to look for RL groups like that?

3 also you could try companies like Vistaprint as they do all sorts of things where you choose your own design so could write whatever you want on them.

What's generally considered appropriate here is that mummy wears the baby in a sling or carrier and belts herself in under the baby so the baby's fastened to her and she's fastened to the car. That's how we brought Molly home from the hospital.

Call the taxi company and ask their policy. Some firms may even have cars with carseats for that eventuality.

I suppose all our taxis are just cars so thats why we have to have a carseat. Only Belfast has the black cabs, so they might be different

Went to Pizza Hut for lunch and had the buffet. Charlotte was sitting on her chair tucking into her pizza and salad and there was two ladies and a girl about the same age on the next table. The little girl had a right tantrum in the high chair and was screaming and chucking food, so her Mam lifted her out, then a glass of pop went all over the place and it was chaos. Probably not an option financially, but could you get one of those buggies where you clip the car seat onto a frame? Then you could take the car seat with you?

DKA - I'm sure the boys would love to be at the seaside Have you looked at what the schools are like and that kind of thing?
