Oooh Glam talking about swimming reminded me that I picked up a timetable for my local pool while I was out today - I thought I might brave a swimsuit for the first time in many years! There are two 'family' sessions a week of about 45 minutes and one longer one on saturdays- Elena would be free, and only £2.85 for me. Plus when she is older, there is a creche with registered childminders each morning for if you want to swim, or even just go to the shops! There is an aqua fit class too - the only problem is that I don't swim that well really so don't know if I'd be able to go? And a splash and mat which sounds interesting...

Wow! also reading the timetable: on third wednesday of each month there is 'sharks' which is stories, rhymes and songs in the pool! That sounds so class :D
  • You don't need to swim to do Aquafit. It's more like aerobics in the pool.

Stories in the pool sounds fab!

Mfd, you are very welcome ;) (I saw Beautiful South once in a live acoustic set at the Jam house... Was fantastic, only about 100 people there!)

Jillie, fit it yourself, washers are about the easiest to install ever!!

ETA, Squishy, your pool has some great stuff on! Ours has nothing like that :(

Must go cook tea before the troops start to complain...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I've been inspired glam with your activities with J so have looked again at things me and K can do.

    so...
    mon- kids rock
    tues- mums/tots group
wed- messy play -krystal i'm taking this from you
thurs- dh day off so spend with them both
    fri- playtime.

3 of these are approx 20min walk ea way so as long as its not chucking it down will be able to go. even if i go for the 3 months before i go back to work it will be good for us both. and even more so for me...get fit and lose weight even more.

am going to try and go to as many of these as poss.
from april they are doing swimming and rhyme time so hopefully these will be on a day when i'm not working to go.

must also check at the pool what things they do as well.
