I'm glad we have at last got a payment but Crosby is literally on the coast, it is always colder further away from the coast and Crosby is the weather station for disadvantaged (and very cold) parts of Lancashire, Cheshire, Merseyside and NE Wales which arnt hugging the coast quite so much. This is why those areas seem to be getting shortchanged compared to places like Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham - a quick postcode check and i've noticed those big cities have been getting 2-3 payments and it has not been colder than a lot of the areas Crosby 'represents'.

I'm in Liverpool proper, I do think it's not really on as it is the coast and that is supposed to be warmer but it is an extra amount to help us out but it could do with be somewhere else and I'm suprised the Met office hasn't pointed this out and some clever bod has sorted it, maybe it's up to us.

Thank you ... am now trying to work out if there is a word for 'love of windmills and other quirky buildings'! There is one in Nottingham that is now a fab science museum, hopefully they'll do something constructive with the Crosby one too. ;)
    Gone ... or have I?

I agree - its not on. If our weather station was in St.Helens or even Knowsley i'm pretty sure we would have had a minimum 2 or 3 trigger payments as well, it might not seem a vast distance between those places and the coast at Crosby but in terms of temperature difference it certainly can be.

The closest is probably 'batophilia' - a love of buildings, or being close to them.

Is it best to check the calculator every week, or every day? I'm not sure when it updates.

    Thanks

    No.
Incapacity benefit is not means tested, so it does not qualify.

CF44 Sennybridge weather station has had a fourth trigger set this morning, I have received three payments so far, two were paid together yesterday so looks like a fourth is on its way to the banks.

Thought I would post this to let anyone know under the Sennybridge station in case anyone has not received anything yet
