cold weather payment postcode search [merged]

Please note, the Cold Weather payment (for this current bitter cold period) is NOT the same as the Winter Fuel allowance; I think some people are confusing the two. And you defo do NOT have to be a pensioner to be eligible for it.
According to the office who handle my Income-based Employment Support Allowance (& confirm I am entitled to the Cold Weather Payment), it should be local Jobcentreplus staff who handle it. However, my local lot don't want to know, and keep giving me Winter Fuel Allowance number (0845 915 1515). 3 sep calls, 3 different people. The Winter Fuel team - through gritted teeth - advise me to contact local JobCentreplus, & obviously I'm the billionth person today wrongly referred to them. A familiar not-so Merry go Round for those of us used to dealings with the DWP
Ive yet to come across any1 who works for the DWP who knows what there talking about or maybe thats just my area :-/0 -
thanks for the link to check the postcodes
ours has been triggered once so far thank god - my house has got to be the most poorly insulated shack ever and even the warm front people couldnt do anything with it as its a chalet bungalow and not enough walls apparently??so every single penny will help at the moment as i'm putting £35 a week on my gas meter
has anyone else in the PO postcode received theirs yet? if not how long does it usually take?
thanks0 -
Anyone who is questioning the temperature at their local weather station can see the current & recent records on https://www.weatheronline.co.uk. I posted instructions earlier of how to view the information.
