Well still no payment so have given IS a ring and insisted that this time they took a look at my file.

Upshot of it is because I claim income support and get child tax credit with a severe disability element, it is supposed to be done by the tax credit people. Last year, the payments were not going out automatically (due to some glitch) to people in the same situation as me (who knows, maybe I would have got one last year if I had actually checked) and it all had to be done manually. This was supposed to be fixed for this year but it appears that the glitch may not actually be sorted as they have had a few calls from people who haven't yet received a CWP.

Due to the risk of being paid twice for the same trigger if they do one now, I have to wait until Monday next week and if still no payment, contact them again for IS to pay it.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

http://www.raintoday.co.uk/, if you type your postcode in on the left hand side of the page itll show where the snow is in regards to your area and the amount will show up in red, the more red the more snow your getting.

DWP have done this intentionally as they were getting too many enquiries. Sods.
I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

  • Does anyone know whats happened to the cold whether payment checker?

I had it stored in my favorites so I could find it easily, but when I tried to look at it today I got a message saying the pension service info has moved to direc gov, so I followed the link and on that page it had a link to check for payments and it took me back to where I started, so Im just going round in circles!

Does anyone know where to find the checker now??

    Thanks

Pure incompetence! Why don't they just put up a blanket message? All that's gonna happen is masses of ppl are going to spend money unnecessarily phoning their local Jobcentre instead.

I think that is the problem, some people on meters need the money to get any heat. Whilst I am sure your comment was intended to be amusing, for some it is quite a desperate situation.

geoff11, your forecast was wrong - we weren't due any snow and now we are swamped! ;)
