We will be its bloody silly... I dont understand how they wouldnt know how you dont have children when we have to fill out there details on the claim form.

When its your mistake and you owe them money they are soon on your back sending you out letters and deducting out of your JSA but when its them that owe you money they really aint interested.

No your not out you dispute it! This is the carry on now that children are your CTC award rather than on your IS/JSA/ESA award.

I know trust me, I know!
One advisor said to me last week well we don't know who you care for re my carers allowance, I told him well that would be my child, and again he said it doesn't say that on our system. So I said well it certainly does say it on the system when I attend the jobcentre

It all depnds on who answers that phone, and what mood they are in imho.
    *SIGH*

well if it says two were triggered and you are in reciept of the qualifying benefits then your are entitled to the payments bearing in mind it isnt the weather stations who put the trigger dates on the postcode checker, it is the dwp who do that.

may i ask who it is your calling, is it jobcenter plus or income support?
  • Hi im sorry if this question has been asked before but does anyone know if either carers allowance (claimed by myself as the adult) or DLA for my child qualifies for this cold weather payment, i think i also get the disability element of tax credits but dont actually get because of a previous overpayment?
    thanks

    Hi Amanda16,

Do you receive any of main qualifying benefits? Which are Income Support, Income based JSA or Income based ESA?
