I found some foot deodorant and sprayed it in my ancient but so comfortable sheepskin slippers and then hung them on the washing line for a couple of days. They now smell clean again!

Too comfortable and worn in to my foot shape to throw away. Very MSE. :D

(I have checked the soles and they're OK, no safety issues there!)
when the weather goes back to normal I'll be wearing them again. :)

Does anyone have any experience of UV-C shoe deodorisers? The theory is that the UV kills the bacteria which creates the smell in the first place (sweat is odorless apparently). Amazon sell a couple of makes but I can't find anyone with personal experience of this. If it works it would be marvellous, but there's something a bit too good to be true about it.....
