  • Need to let dad know. How do they let the visually impaired know about these changes I wonder?

Will this affect BT broadband talk as well as BT....normal phone line talk? I notice it mentions Broadband talk in the set-up fee section but not the time change.

If it does (these are me free evening calls), this will simply mean I will make calls at 7pm instead of 6pm. Oh well - my family will just have to wait an hour longer for my call (Although they'd expect that from me :money:)

I am shocked at the set-up fee. Last time I checked it was around 5p - and I thought that was extortion!

The set-up fee on my PAYG mobile is only 8p (Asda mobile - 4p per text too;-) ).

I'm just looking into 18185 now. Thanks for the heads up.

    Thanks

If I need to ring someone before 7.00 p.m. I will use the free minutes on my 3 mobile plan. I get 200 a month and currently use about 10 :rotfl:.

You misunderstand. I was suggesting Primus Saver CPS instead of the BT Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan (but, as you say, with 18185 used weekdays).

Please click on the HERE link in my signature below.

:D Yes i did misunderstand lol, i`ve had this going around in my head most of the day and i`m getting confused, thanks for pointing it out.

Think i`m clear now, until i can get out of the bt contract my best option is to use my mobile & 18185 during the day and use the free bt calls for the rest of the time, after my 12 month rolling bt has expired i go to primus saver for e&w calls and use 18185 during the day and keep the line rental with bt but on the free weekend plan which does not have a 12 month contract. Feel free to scream if i`ve not got it yet :D thanks for your help.

Why use Primus during the day?

Basically you use Primus for evening calls ( if you prefer to have evening as 6pm to 8am), 18185 for daytime calls and hop back onto BT using 1280 for 0845/0870 and 01/02/03 at weekends to keep Caller Display free.

Sorry :o thats exactly what i meant but you`ve got it down in black and white much clearer than i have, i was trying to say that 18185 was far cheaper for daytime calls than primus or bt :D
    Thanks

  • I have noticed to my horror that some of these packages are not at all what they seem at first glance. In my broadband and phone package with Plusnet, the "inclusive" calls are only those of less than 30 MINUTES!- come on now, how many of us girlies do mates-chats for 30 minutes or less!! Also, it seems from their billing that free broadband is only between midnight and 7a.m. on the Value package although this is very difficult to confirm as it is hard to find on their website. Perhaps Ofcom ought to look into regulating the levels of clarity needed when informing customers of conditions and terms. Maybe Moneysavingexpert could give them a nudge?

Surely if you reach your 30 minutes you just hang up and dial again.

I'm on paperless billing so wouldn't get the leaflet anyway. Presumably they didn't send them out in the mail on their own did they?
yes the leaflet did arrive on its own .I dont make any calls via BT ,but I do pay line rental to BT .My mate pays his line rental to primus and he received the same leaflet .Oh and just incase I binned the leaflet they also emailed me today .:rotfl:
