Just a guess..
More people are discovering Voice Over IP and switching to competitors.
So up go the charges to compensate for the lost revenue.
In turn, more people discover VOIP and defect to competitors.
And so round it goes...0 -
Assuming price increases quoted by Old Git are correct then the minimum daytime cost call(up to 1 minute) goes up by 7.5% and a 30 minute call goes up by 9.7% - what recession!!!!
My pension was frozen lat year because of the negative level of RPI "inflation"- why doesn't Ofcom act (do they still exist?)
The next thing to be announced - bars on the likes of 18185 during daytime!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Actually, and to defend BT: other operators don't have to allow these over-rides. The rules on this and the way in which it works are made more complex because of the way in which is was privatised and the fact that the BT Group still have a monopoly on the lines themselves.
Perhaps the BT Group could volunteer to sell the local loop back to the Government and establish a proper, level playing field0 -
And how would Gordon pay for that?? Borrow from the Banks ??? He He0
-
Gordon is almost certainly on the phone to Mervyn King right now to beg for more money to be printed as "QE" is wound up. But then, he never really understood how an economy works.0

You don't really expect a BT Rep to comment surely, under the T&C of this forum they are not allowed to promote their own service, which means they would only be allowed to publish negative comments, which is probably against the T&C of their employment contract with BT.0 -
I can't recall agreeing to cover the cost of the vat increase either.
If I need to make any calls I always wait till after 6pm I must have also drummed it into my 11 year old daughter as she also tells me to wait till after 6pm)
I've never been happy with BT they try to charge you for every little thing, I've already sent them an e-mail enquirying how to cancel without any cancellation charges!
I haven't seen a letter just got an e-mail but after looking on there website it states that any cancellations following there amendments have to be made within 10 days so act now if you intend too...0 -
I'm on paperless billing so wouldn't get the leaflet anyway. Presumably they didn't send them out in the mail on their own did they?
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
