I see in their latest letter BT are changing the definition of "evening" (for calculating call costs) to be 7pm to 7am from 1'st April 2010. Currently it is 6pm to 6am.
Worth bearing in mind for people on unlimited evening/weekend packages.0 -

Fits with their web page no longer showing the Evenings and Weekend Package, they seem to be pushing people to the Anytime package.0 -

Primus Saver CPS National Numbers are still free from 6pm until 8am (yes - that's EIGHT am). (And free at the weekends too) :j (but not 0845/0870)0 -
Does anyone think this would give someone the right to get out of their 12 month contract for free evenings & weekends?0
-
Yes, it would. If you make calls between 18:00 and 19:00, this change is to your material disadvantage. Therefore you may cancel your contract without cost or penalty. You need to do it quickly, in writing, and by recorded delivery.0

Do you have a link to the new terms? I know business lines are 7-7 but can't find any trace of residential changing from 6-6. Thanks.0

Just concerned of the date of implementation :eek:0 -
I've just looked at t & cs for Evening and Weekend plan - still showing 6pm to 6am as per "how call costs are calculated"
www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/dynamicmodules/pagecontentfooter/pageContentFooterPopup.jsp?pagecontentfooter_popupid=24641&s_cid=con_FURL_calls_dealterms
So what is this post about? Can't find anything on the website either.0 -
Wait for your letter through the post. It is entitled "Important information about your BT service".
I expect their web site will be updated closer to the date.0 -
Graham 1 , does it offer you the opportunity of getting out of 12 month "rolling" contracts in the letter??0
