Do you have a link to the O2 price details, I have seen the basic details, but I use CLI and text services to notify of missed calls, which is included with BT. Shame they have to spoil it all with such a tactic. It really was funny listening to this woman trying to justify the change. 'Our customers tell us they use the phone after 7pm more.........you still get 12 hours....blah blah blah.'0

It's also a bit more hassle using 18185 with other providers in that you have to ring an 0808 number first and then your number - whereas with BT you just prefix with 18185 (so you can program numbers into your phone).
Also calls via the 0808 number are normally charged at dearer rates.;)0 -

over and out BT
O2 monthly line rental (with inclusive E&W calls) and caller display £11.25 and with basic 1571 £12.25,and no guarantee they want bring their time plans in line with BT. Plus you want be able to use indirect access like 18185.Plus 0845/0870 calls are not included in O2,s E&W plan.0 -
So to make a 01, 02 or 03 call during the day Mon to Fri under a minute will cost 15.8p, if thats not a reason to ditch BT i dont know what is!!!!!!!A fool and their money are easily parted.0

Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

People here need to remember that other companies like O2 and Sky are sure to follow and alter their times. All companies have the same objective and that is to take your money.0

I don't follow your logic. I would think it could be precisely why O2 and Sky may keep their off peak at 6pm to 6am so they can pick up customers from people p****d off with BT.
I don't mind O2 taking my money as their bills are clear and customer service (so far) great. I just wish they would include caller ID in their off peak offering and it would be a no brainer for me to change.0 -
We will have to wait and see. I would say they will do nothing for maybe a year then quietly change the times to match BT.0

Beware! We use 1899 almost all the time - to the extent that we made under 6 calls using BT in a quarter & were landed with extra low-use charges of £3.48 in our monthly bill: £2.50 Caller Display low use charge & £0.98 1571 low use charge. It's clearly their way of penalising people who use the 1899-type services. Since then we've been sure to make the 2 BT calls a month!0
