Didnt get any gifts today but got a nice bargain. Took OH in charity shop as I saw a footstall in there a couple of days ago and I need one to put my feet up of an evening. It was still in there and OH thought it looked decent enough for us to have although I will have to recover the top with some nice material as its a bit grubby. It has a wooden bottom with a small drawer in it. It didnt have a tag on so asked the man and he said we could have it for £3 so I was well chuffed. I have some fabric to cover it with already.

    Hello all :j
Not done a lot today -phone call from niece of my Mums best friend to say that Mums best friend had died.........she was 93 and had been ill so it was expected -so I've spent the morning making a sympathy card for the daughter..........seemed to take an age and I ended up just doing something floral...........should be ok.
So............bedroom tidying plan went out the window as did starting to cover shoe boxes and anything else really.
Young girl comes to clean up for me tomorrow then lad who used to live here is calling up so thats tomorrow taken care of............oh well, maybe the weekend ?
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

susan - thanks. I tried again last night and it still only gives me one pen free and I thought with the p & p -well, there must be a cheaper way.
So, this afternoon I had a play around with some pens, glue and pretty paper...........several attempts that went wrong nearly made me give up but I won in the end and now have five pretty pens.................lol 2 for MIL, 2 for my son for his writing box and 2 for me:T (pats self on back)
Had my hair done today (new years resolution to self -have hair done once a month) and made next appt ! Trying to organise myself a bit more then I might feel more inclined to organise the house...............lol:rotfl:

The pens sound fab, ur items are brilliant, good for you re the hair dressers treats, after everything you and hubby and been throu, u deserve a treat. xx

My half cost parcel - got some of the £1.00 items

(they don't get the towel) - but the swim bags are fab

There are brilliant, so funny, look a look dearer, quite good quality, don't shout out I've only cost £1.0058717307_x.jpg

Got 10 of each - thats all the girls bday prezzies sorted for Miss Hoodie,

The boys (got 10 of these as well), based on party invites and xmas prezzies for school friends, and left over get car booted.

Luckly I only ordered 2 - they sent me the mens version - thou swop some prezzies around.

Did have some items already, but there more for younger kids, down to about 8 things so there go for car boots or towards younger people prezzies, - going for a tight budget xmas, but as hit the Boots sale - get good things - mens aftershave sets were £16, cost £4 but not a penny to us, as it was cards.

I popped to asda today and they have books on special. I got two classics books one for each of the kids. Schindlers list for eldest and the borrowers for Elysia. both for £5.00

In poundland I found a brilliant Jaqueline Wilson book (should be £12.99) so got one of those to put away for christmas too - bit too advanced now but she'll nearly be 8 then. Have a look out anyone with 8-10 year old girls to buy for - it's really good!
