I'm sorry, I just had to laugh that is a typical man thing!!, joke this is the next step he signs the cards and you do all the posting for him! xx

    That's a good idea LOL.

I remember having a feeling when I was making up the folder and writing all the addresses (at the last moment before he left) that it was going to be a pointless excercise.:(

Been shopping today and managed to get little sisters birthday pressie in tescos for £7:j really pleased the little dress should have been £12 and the Cardigan £12 so a wopping saving of £17, and I just know she will love it as its girly pink and nice and light for their hot summers.

Off to do a bit more catching up online.

    Hello all :j
Got up this morning to a covering of snow and its been so bitterly cold. OH went to chemist to pick our pills up and couldn't -chemist was snowed in so he had to go back later when they'd sent another one in..........the girls aren't allowed to hand them out without the chemist there - I didn't know that. Oh well, learn something every day.
So, not done much except cover couple of shoe boxes for birthday pressies. What a mess I got into....not sure whether it was the paper, the paste or me..........:rotfl:Probably me !
So gave up after two and wrote to an old lady who was a friend of mums and a friend who's just come out of hospital.

Been back onto the vista site..........free t-shirts and cotton bags............might be worth ordering them -even with the delivery it makes them a bargain -I think - haven't checked del. cost yet though.
Hope you've all had a good day and kept warm
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Its almost stupid re the chemist as the items are made up and dispensed, the legality that there has to be a qualified person on duty.

Sounds like it was fun and games with the boxes etc.

I can highly recommend the cotton bags, the photos come out ok on them, got 2 at xmas, stocking fillers for mum and dd, they do offer you the choice to pay think £2 extra to take off vistaprint logo, but its not noticeable unless ur looking right upto it. DD using hers as her beach bag. xx

Not money saving, but.... took dad to see Agatha Christie Play, "Witness for the Prosecution", doing a nationwide tour, its absolutely brilliant, not a thing Id really thought enjoy to much plzed did.

Espically as we had a phone call 2ngt my Uncle passed away, he's had astesbos of the lungs, so literally for the last 10 yrs as been living on borrowed time, just hits home, knocked mum for 6, as she was closer to him. x

Hugs for you and your mam mum2one
I'd just popped on to say thanks for posting the halfcost thing...I was about to do an order but had missed the shoe jewellery boxes and I wanted a jewellery box for my dd's birthday but hadn't found any cheap ones so a pound is great. Then I thought I'd do what u do and get some pressies in for birthdays for dd's class (and some friends kids that are coming up) so I got 7 of those crocodile games. I would normally spend 5-10 on a pressie for her class and anything up to 15pounds for my friends kids so 2pounds is a great saving and that's all they're getting cos it looks like i've spent more than 2pounds, definitely.

I'm getting so organised, have so many pressies it's unbelievable...and it's only january, and all money neutral I might add :-)
