helen - thanks but white teeth wouldn't show on the rabbit as its white felt. Think pink might be a bit too 'girlie' for grandson -least his mum and dad'll think so..............lol Did think of blue but hadn't got any blue felt to try it................think I'll google 'easter bunny' images and see what comes up
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Xmas Saver!
Firstly sorry to hear your families bad news, sincere wishes to you all. Thank you

Secondly, hi! can i join please? - A big welcome to the thread

Starting off a bit backwards, have already sorted out kids room just before christmas as hoping soon to move there rooms around (daughter in spare room, son 1 in daughters room and son 2 in same room but just for him!)

So will be now doing 24/12 challenge and trying to sort out finances on paper! eek! finances that the fun bit!!

Did de-clutter kitchen yesterday as also doing use it or lose it challenge, but didn't defrost freezer!! will now get that done - and now actually dreading the cleaning oven (worse job for me that is).

What with this, and above challenge, 20 NSD's in Feb, no alcohol in Feb (my own personnal challenge, looks like i'm going to have a busy, productive month!!

Write no more reading this site now, must get some stuff done now!

    Bye for now!

Can't believe how organised u've been, ur putting us to shame, love the kitchen idea, need to do our cupboards, - just seem to hoard junk. x

Good luck with ur personal challenges as well xx

    Xmas Saver!
    Hi All

Thougth I'd pop ina dn catch up as Ive been gone for a bit.

Firstly - can I please get added to the first post 'EXPECTING IN 2010' list. My new little bundle is expected on July 1st 2010 and was a bit of a shock but am happily 18 weeks pregnant at the minute and I've only known for about 2 weeks!:eek::eek::eek: but delighted none the less.

    Massive congratulations,

Have worked out my money for this year already - well done it by month and have got my idea for my savings plan, birthday present budget and then saving for little one and Christmas too.

Setting my own challenge of £140 for food shopping fro 2 adults, 1 5 year old, step son on weekends, 2 terrapins and a jack Russell so wish me luck all but I figure then that I will have money saved over for baby and then one little one is here safe and sound that will change to Xmas savings which means I should get £300 by Christmas if I'm careful and follow all my gift making ideas.

Look forward to talking to you all soon.

    Love

    Sammy

Massive congratulations, bet it was a shock, u mean u got away without morning sickness!! Ur due on my mums birthday,

Your doing brilliantly with the budgeting figures, just make sure u look after yourself and rest.

    So exicted for you. xx

Best wishes Mum2One and ur family

I managed to clear the fridge freezer out yesterday, a few hidden suprises so will use up what I've got before spending anymore

Just had a quick look at Halfcost - never been on there before - some good little bargains to be had - thanks for the tip

    I lethal with halfost....

They add the new stock on a friday, and also if they haven't put a discount on the order theres a little box for codes - type in FF15 and it takes 10% off your order.

    xx

    Hello all

mum2one, I was sorry to hear about the sad news. And the fact that DD was so sick.

rubiesr4eva - hello and welcome - what is 20 NSD mean? I never pressed the bold key so I wonder why it's turned up?

    SammyK - congratulations! :T

Hi Angela, NSD means no spend day, bigmummaf runs a thread every month, check foraging in february and you say how many days you don't want to spend any money, makes you really money aware!! Thanks for the welcome and hopefully see you there as well!

Managed to de-clutter two junk drawers in our dining room, one of which had both sons stuff in age 7 & 6, youngest now wants to sort cupboard out too, so thats tomorrows job after school!!

Must put ebay stuff on tomorrow, decided to eat everything in freezer first before defrosting mum2one so should do that in couple of weeks!!
Loving life to the full, just need purse full too :)

I've been a bit mad on bargains over the weekend - I blame all of you and the Grabbit Board! ;)

I got 2 pairs of Barbie combat jeans for £1 each instead of £19.99 each for both DDs for Christmas (Grabbit Board - one day only offer from Sports Direct), 2x digital counting machines £3 each from £12.99 each for dad and DS birthdays (Big Offers - used Quidco and 10% off voucher), 5x shoe box jewellery boxes £1 each, 3x swim bags £1 each (Halfcost with 10% voucher - thanks Mum2one) and a Hannah Montana doll £3.50 from £7 at Asda (Grabbit Board). I am totally hooked!

I have got into the habit of checking Quidco and Voucher codes before going onto sites - used to keep forgetting about them.

Anyway, on a more sane, no spend subject - I have been getting organised and have made 2 valentines cards for DDs and need to make 2 more for DH and DS. I have also made 6 flannel chicks and 5 flannel bunnies for Easter presents for teachers - just need to put eyes, noses and tails etc and put in the eggs and wrap in cello.

Thanks everybody - the 2 thrifty gifty sites have got me more organised in a couple of months than I have done by myself in years - it feels good to know that I won't be running around at the last minute all the time and getting stressed. :j
