1st Month - Money...This is a new element to the thread, all will be revealed, had a brain wave!! and hense the 1st is the Money day- there be challenges each 1st of the month related to money (If you can grab an A4 folder, paper note-book or 2),
but it says it on this one....confused.com x
The 24th is the Santas Challenge, and for something extra put a budget planner on for 1st Jan, incase it was any use for anyone else.
The money on the 1st is something small, as really were the spending side and our sister thread -make the money.
xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
As the sister thread is making money and Jammy sets us wonder tasks this side is the related to spending.
So a mini 1st month challenge - A question......
"What was the worst date you ever had and why - (as long as money fits in somewhere in the answer!!) x
ps - I'm making this the last 1st month challeneg - as were more about spending money, and more so could put the budget planner up for the start of the year.
Just be santas challenge as usual on the 24th.

I'm showing my age now!!!
Back when I was 21 I was friends with a family from down South, the one lad and me we were together... Just after my 21st gone to spend the weekend with them, drove down on the Fri ngt.
The Sat, he says, we've got to do a slight diversion before we go to town ok, no probs....
We then stop at his friends farm, bf and his brother had to go and help thier friend as while we were there, he'd had the vet out to put the donkey to sleep, they had to bury the donkey!!
Then we go via a clearance auction, he ended up bidding on a lawnmower (got no garden where he lived), in case he ever needed, then he realised he'd lost the money from his pocket, obviously question, when did u last go in your pocket..... when we were burying the donkey, I had to wipe my eyes, I chucked it in with the donkey...
That ngt we went to a club, just me with 7 blokes, I was the only one standing at the end of the night..... had to sub him some money to go out with so it looked like he was treating me!! xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Just popped this on both threads incase anyone misses it.
Ebay are "Finally" getting rid of the "free postage" on items, its on the site, apparently it was brought in as too many people were over charging, so those catergories that had "free postage" only, will have a maximum charge for postage

Hi mum2one and everyone else.
Had a successful day today. Both my dining room and lounge are now offically de-cluttered and tidy(ish). what with that added to kitchen downstairs is looking pretty good, even if i do say so myself!! (just noone go in utility room aaaaaahhh!)
Sorry mum2one that i'm not sticking totally to your challenges, but like i previously said, i'd already done kids rooms, then did do jans finances (wow they were scarey), and didn't want to waste the rest of the month!!
We are going to be eating some mixed up meals as i do want to defrost the freezer, then i will feel as though i'm properly joining in!!
Also sold items on ebay today and raised £34 odd, of which £12.01 for one item is being collected in a bit. Made a spreadsheet up of how much profit i'm making (after ebay and paypal costs are deducted) and whats in paypal and whats in my ebay envelope. Then when i have recylced enough to buy myself a new sofa bed, if hubby has used paypal for him or children i have a record of what he needs to replace!! sounds harsh, but he has an expensive hobby of collecting old manual arcade games, with most coming from ebay!!Loving life to the full, just need purse full too

Hello all :j
Thanks for the kind thoughts. I'm fine now........though it does feel like it all happened a week ago not two days............lol Managed to eat dinner last night with no problem (I did cut it up very small...........lol)
OH has recovered from worrying himself daft about me -I think- and I made some more Easter cards this morning so getting back to some sort of normality.
Must start actually making some of the stuff I keep seeing on various threads. Still Mothers Day first and thats all sorted, then Easter - nearly sorted.......then sons birthday and foster daughters birthday. Was going to do a Gardening hamper for her (she;s just got a greenhouse is mad keen on growing veg and stuff) Trouble is she keeps going out and getting little seed pots and stuff herself...........I'm running our of ideas. She's already had a gardening journal at Christmas, bought herself a book of growing veg. I've been looking round for a trug for her but they're so expensive........any ideas where to look where I won't need a bank loan for one ????I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

No idea about a trug, but how about little sticks that you put in the pots/ground saying what you planted, ball of string, scissors, little trowel and fork, seed germnating trays with lids, water bottle sprayer [handy for watering seeds as you don't over water them] and some seeds for unusual veg

ETA And a kneeling mat and bamboo canes [small ones are as handy as large ones] and if planting seeds you need lots and lots of 3" and 9" pots, Poundstretcher do them cheaplyProjects made for craft fair - 40
1st fair on 13/4/14 :j0
