to be honest i never want to see inside a freezer again. i was just going to sleep last night with thoughts of being chased by blocks of ice :rotfl:
  • Done my fridge and freezer - I had been revising for a few weeks and constantly hearing "there is nothing in the freezer - what can we have to eat".

There is enough food in there to feed an army including a large number of pots containing meals that I had cooked in bulk. No excuse for them trying to get a takeaway now:mad:

Also done the me time after DD kindly said my feet were "looking like nans" (my sister says my mom has trotters instead feet as they are so "manky") - charming:on both counts!
;) The toast proposed at our wedding was for "health, wealth and happiness". Our family may not have the health and wealth but we make up for it with the happiness:D

Hi Maryop, sorry couldnt get back to you earlier, i try not to come at night and been busy this am with callers.

I`ve only ordered one of each free things, 3 at a time, one t-shirt, i pen and one stamper.
I tried ordering more but the site went funny and my free things ended up not being free.

On apositive note my collage just come from my pix, its excellent quality and I cant wait to give it.

As regard the freezer tidy, I thought my freezer had packed in the beginning of the week, but it defrosted itself and is now working merrily away :-)

Thats a nice find in the freezer!! the mind boggles, we cheat and use the hairdryer on mid heat, to give any stuborn ice a quick blast....

Hope DD1 get s better soon, its the midnight bed change that gets me... xx

Never thought of using a hairdryer - will bear that in mind for next time.

DD1 was fine really yesterday - I kept trying to get her to rest but she was bouncing round all day - packed her back off to school this morning :D

Thought I'd search for some easy face mask recipes. This one looked nice:

Banana Face Mask Recipe A banana face mask is excellent for dry skin and normal skin. Normal skin may need a little help in the winter while the heating is blasting out and help in the summer when the sun can naturally dry out your skin, leaving it flaky.

If your skin is dry it is a good idea to exfoliate before applying a mask in order to remove any flaky dead skin.

Honey and yogurt can be spread straight from the jar onto your skin to give excellent results. Our banana recipe is a combination of healing and moisturising, while rejuvenating, making this a very special mask for dry skin. bananasmall.jpg
    • Yogurt is a natural exfoliator
    • Honey is an ancient holistic healer and moisturiser
    • Banana is a powerful moisturiser on dry skin
    • Porridge oats helps to calm and moisturize the skin
We warm this recipe in the microwave before applying so that the pores open and natural moisturising of the skin occurs :
    • half cup of natural yogurt
    • 1 tablespoon of honey
    • ½ banana
    • Porridge oats to bind together
Mix the yogurt, honey and banana together, then add enough porridge oats to bind the mixture together. Put the mixture into the microwave for 1 minute to heat. Apply to your face and neck area while still warm and leave for at least 30 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

I found this recipe for a hair conditioner too. I can agree that egg really does make my hair feel lovely (I did it by accident before, but this time will be deliberate!). The bit in the recipe about cooking the egg made me laugh, I had visions of me making scrambled egg on my head! :rotfl:

    Grandma's Egg Conditioner

This is an old fashioned remedy that your grandmothers would have used. This is also a great recipe to use on sun damaged hair. It gives hair such a wonderful shine.
    • 1 egg
    • 1 plain yogurt
    • 1tbl olive oil
Mix the above ingredients together in a bowl before massaging this deep hair conditioner into your scalp. Because this is a messy mixture, hang your head and hair over a sink. Comb the mixture through so that it covers every strand of hair. Now wrap your head in a towel and leave for at least 20 minutes, before shampooing out your deep hair conditioner with warm water. When shampooing the water must not be hot, as you don’t want to start cooking the egg.

susan - thanks. I tried again last night and it still only gives me one pen free and I thought with the p & p -well, there must be a cheaper way.
So, this afternoon I had a play around with some pens, glue and pretty paper...........several attempts that went wrong nearly made me give up but I won in the end and now have five pretty pens.................lol 2 for MIL, 2 for my son for his writing box and 2 for me:T (pats self on back)
Had my hair done today (new years resolution to self -have hair done once a month) and made next appt ! Trying to organise myself a bit more then I might feel more inclined to organise the house...............lol:rotfl:
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
