    Hi all

Mary, have you ever tried Japanese quilting? There's a pattern I know which takes minutes to make and you end up with a complete quilted square (stitched through wadding etc).

Can be used as a coaster, or add 2 more squares and a nice toggle or button and it can be a small bag. Make more squares and make it into whatever you want.

Esmer what's happening with DD now?

Whats Japanese quilting, sounds easy :)

Natasha is tired, hot and grumpy...... and if she has a flu, probably sore too. I'm keeping her temp down with calpol and nurofen. Mum came down to watch her for me, so I could get to Mr Ts and get more calpol and nurofen and some other bits and bobs.

Natasha is sleeping next to me on the couch. been sleeping for over an hour now. I need to go and clean up :)

Hope you are all well x

    Hi all

It's worrying when a child has that kind of illness, hope things improve soon.

I'll put a link on the 2011 thread for instructions to make that Japanese all in one square when I get a chance to look through my bookmarks. It takes a couple of minutes from cutting it out to the finished product. So definitely work a go.

Not a great night :( temp shot upto 38.9 :( I have got it down to 38.1 with window open, just a cotton sheet and nurofen. She is sleeping now and I'm like a hawk. Her temp was a constant 37.5 today, hi for dd but that was manageable! 2 hrs after going to sleep and it's shot up.

Will let you know how she is :( x

Thanks. Been a battle all night! No sleep. Her temp has gone down at last. Just going to keep up with the meds, but not any better later, will take her to a&e she might need an antibiotic. Good news is, it's been raining here, so snow nearly all gone. :)
