a miracle has happened, we managed a panic free day!!!
Had a lazy lie in, till 9.30, when got woke up by dad bashing a broom up the drainpipe - moving the ice - apparently its a common problem with combi boilers.
went to the Panto, Miss Hoodie got asked if she wanted to go on stage, she said no...... typical as when I took her 2 weeks ago she moaned she wasn't asked...... but mum and dad loved it..... then pizza for tea...... lush.
Just crashing out - tv was boring till Eastenders and benidorm, said we'd have a quiet day and do boxing day 2mor. Was it Esmer - brain like a sieve - the Paul O Grady quote summed it up perfectly.....
Miss hoodie had a bright idea!!! she's thinking of asking Santa for a netbook so she can take club penguin everywhere with her!! NO!!!!!!!!!
Been good and only looked at the sales on line, - popping into town Wed, quic flick into Evans and Ann Harvey (got some vouchers), - got my eye on a few bits on BHS site - but intend to sort out whats left, we got 2 boxes left over - but intend to narrow the list drastically. 2011 is going to be my year..... may not be having the best start - got 2 x 30mins dentist appointments, have a crown fitted, then him and the court, an end of course assisgnment for business course, and assisgnment for sports course, - then Feb start the new business course...... so its another yr of OU but it will be worth it in the end, the plan is I WILL GET MY DEGREE in 2011.....
Hope everyone had a good day today in our own ways - and heres to friendship, and support, xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
My DD is really not well.
she has been coughing and i took her temperature an hour ago and its 37.5 when I was taking it and trying to administer some calpol, she was shaking and crying and not letting me give her the medicine
eventually got her to sleep and gave her the dose whilst she was sleeping, woke up briefly and cried, so had to sooth her to sleep. just took her temp nearly an hour later and still the same.............. I can see this is going to be a long night.
Just going to take her into my room otherwise i will be up and down like a yo yo to see her and i will worry otherwise. Looks like she has a virus and her body is trying to fight it, had this back in August but it got into her chest and she was having trouble breathing. Thats why im not in a mad panic and going to A&E. I will keep her temp monitored and hope it goes down.
Night night everyone, will update you all in the morning.Saving 2.00 coinsGrocerys set to 40.00 pwBeing Thrifty0 -
Esmer, keep her covered only in a light sheet, and keep the window open just enough to cool the room. Elysia had this last week. Had high temps for a week straight day and night. Be careful, keep and eye on her - I don't want to worry you but she may go into convulsions. Have you gave her BOTH nurufen and calpol, because she can have both at the same time you know?
I really hope she's ok in the morning. Little ones get poorly extremely quickly and in the morning they are right as rain, and you wonder why you worried.
Take care and give her a kiss from us. Night night xxxI :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Phew, thank goodness thats all over for another 364 days! Pips terrible twos have made it pretty stressful at a time when everyone was already on edge what with it being the first Christmas without ' my Grandad. I agree with all those previous that the media put too much pressure on the 'perfect' christmas, its such a relief to come on here and read about everyone elses normal, bit dodgy christmas and realise its not me doing everything wrong!
Going to have a look at the sales tomorrow for the yeard birthday presents and maybe some christmas ones too.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T
2020 the year of less - Less debt, less waste, less spending, less stuff, less stress!0 -
Esmer - hope dd gets better soon, - def agree re calpol and paracetamol, they compliment each other. hope she goes on ok, you take care as well.
Pipsmum - glad the terrible twos are nearly over, - wait till the I wants start!!, hope everything went ok for christmas, its always the 1st one thats the hardest. We lost my nan just before my 18th, so daft now, but about a month after lost her I had to go on a training course - just a day in Manchester, and I automatically brought her an ornament, still got it now.
You take care xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
esmer you can bring a temperature down by putting something cold - flannel wrung out in cold water - under the armpits and on forehead.0

Thanks guys. Been up most of the night. Temp is still high, breathing heavy. She had this in August and got admitted to paediatric ward until steroids worked
. We are just up, going to give her the inhaler and see if it helps. Just had to let the EX know, which is never a good feeling!
