    hello =)
i miss you all! I am resolving to be a better Tart next year and getting back on the money neutral thread, given that I started it off all those years ago!!!!!!

We have got the least money we've ever had this year, and spent the most money I've ever spent on Christmas. Think next year we need to cut it down, but does anyone find it is hard to get anything decent for people cheaply these days? We have spent about £100 per 'parent' x 4 and barely got a thing to show for it. A hoodie for my husband is about £50, so getting him some games etc. to go with it looks absolutely nothing and is about £200+

This year has been crazy busy but a very happy year up to now *jinx* - next year, its back to the money saving and making!!!

Hope you all have a jolly Christmas xoxo

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

jamtart - we've had to stick to a fairly rigid budget this year with OH not working so I've made most bits and pieces or picked up stuff from charity shops -plus a bit of 'recycling' of stuff I found shoved in drawers I forgot I'd got that I could give to someone who'd appreciate it more than me.
And it can be fun..........trying to make something out of next to nothing............give it a go next year:)

Oh........why has the thread been moved ? Meant to ask yesterday............had a job to find it.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hello Everyone, I have popped in and out this month wishing I had found you in January.

Will you all be here next year and is there an easy way to make sure I dont miss anything, how will I know when the 2011 thread starts ? Do you mind if I join ?

    Thank you, M

Clare - I certainly will. OH doesn't help himself really -he'd say anything to get out of hospital which is why they said they'd talk to me about what he might need.............even said they'd come out to the house and assess things when I asked them to but that didn't happen.

mswan - welcome to the thread..............it'll be here next year -or a new one will. You won't miss it:j

Mary-op, your hospital should have a PALS service available for complaints. That sounds cartoonishly bad all round :( but I bet your DH is glad to be home!

We're having a lovely time with my parents, getting ready for dinner now, after which they're off to the airport and we're off for Family Photo Time. Need to eat and then put on some makeup so I look less tired and haggard :rotfl:

Have just had a look around my skincare items and shower gels, hair products etc - 95% of them contain the thing I react to

Looks like next year will be much more MSE as this is my little achillies heel and I'll be ebaying the unopened ones after Christmas. Oh well never mind

Now I feel dreadful with this virus - unsure if its a chest infection or not - has certainly kicked in more today

  • Mary - Oh how awful.....get that complaint hat on asap!!! xxxx

Well I joined Bingoport last night and seem to have got the hang of it!!
Started new meds today and they have wiped me out!! I have not done a thing today!! DH & DD both had to go out today but DD was back by lunchtime and brought me home some chips for lunch (I really fancied a chip butty for some reason) then just slobbed on sofa for an hour, went to be for a lie down at 3 and woke up about 20 mins ago. Now I feel like I am coming down with a cold??? Nose feels all bunged!!
DH just phoned and he is on way home.......had plans to make a curry but not sure if I should be let loose near a cooker!!!

Much love to u all xxxx lisi xxxx

Sugar -there is a Pals service for complaints

Toothfairy - I've got my complaints hat on well and truly................for the council for ignoring the side roads and not allowing folk to take any salt and do it themselves............plus hospital !
Trouble is OH is having forty fits about it and doesn't want me to complain........we're almost arguing about it but I don't feel I can let it go on his say so. He might not want to complain but I do and I will.

fedup =- sorry to hear you're not feeling so good.
My son seems to get virus after virus -now his GP has told him its depression -not a virus at all !! Mind boggles.
Aren't men the most awful patients ? Least my OH is............or it could be me wanting to do this that and the other for him when he wants to do what he can himself............(and really I'm no nurse.......lol)

Feeling bit better now I've had a good old moan.......our lad we look after has been so good and Friday we're putting decorations up then he'll hoover up all the bits of tinsel that always seem to fall off.

Didn''t have to be ''Delia'' thank goodness........OH decided he'd do dinner so he sat at the table and got it ready -stuck it in the oven and it was lovely.
Tomorrow though I'll be Delia and our lad Jamie Oliver as we attempt a shepheds pie................lol

B*m bum bum bum. I just posted a big long reply to everyone and deleted it instead of posting it! GRrrr

    Here I go again:

Mary - shepherds pie is easy - If I can do it, anyone can. It'll taste yummy.

Toothfairy - If you need to sleep, you do it. It's your body mending itself. A sleep can do you the world of good.

Fedup - ouch with the excema and sore throat/virus. Get all your things ready as I feel a money making challenge coming along very soon. ;)

MSwan - Welcome to the thread hun. Join in, we'll have you all organised before you know it.

Sugarspun - I hope your parents have a safe journey home. Enjoy your photo session too.

Jamtart - Please continue to help with the money making thread, hopefully it will help you too. You know better than most, we all motivate each other. :)

Clare - how on earth do you have time to go to work? I wouldn't know whether I was coming or going, with a schedule like that!!! Once DD's birthday is here - you'll get the christmas spirit - you just have a lot on your plate at the mo.

Legendmum - OH and DD1 have gone to the cinema to watch Harry Potter, so DD2 and I are making mince pies tonight too.

Esmer - those cupcakes looked fantastic - I need to buy a piping bag as yours and Susans cakes have got me inspired to make some posh ones too - rather than the ones out of the boxes.

Susan - I've been wrapping for 4 hours today, so I know how your back feels! I don't normally suffer but our new bed is lower, so half the time I was kneeling and half the time bending, so my knees hurt too. :rotfl:I know you have a bad back anyway, so I hope you feel better very soon.

Mum2one - thanks for the info about posting times and to pay bills at the bank. Brilliant advice!

I hope everyone else is well - hugs to everyone.
