Clare thanks for the tesco link, It wasn't me who wanted it, but I remember someone did. I wasn't sure if it was off this thread, or another one.
Well done Esmer - you should feel very proud of yourself making the advent stockings. I bet it will be cherished for years to come.
Good news!!!! My DD1 passed her driving test today!!!! She's off out with my Stepdad looking at cars tonight. We have a family member who has a car lot and does us family rates. I'm so pleased for her - it takes her over two hours to uni, and over two hours back. It'll only take her half an hour by car. Come on Nickybo - don't be put off, you can do it. My mum passed when she was 40+ so she urged us (3 daughters) to all pass before we had kids.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

fedupandskint - your Mr S shop was fab! What a bargain! lol And 850 words to go until the 300 word limit?!?!? lol
Managed it and submitted it. just scraped over the minimum word count reduced by 10% - may not pass though as may not be long enough and may not be critical enough. Anyway learn the lesson for the next one and if have to resit this oneOk, NO ONE else will understand, but I am getting REALLY excited about the fact that the Christmas Radio Times will be out this weekend!!!! Anyone else feel the same?!?! lol

Hi all - lucky I've been so organised so far - we're snowed in in a hotel!!!!
Flight cancelled till Friday as the local airport and Munich airport are both closed and by the time I got online to rebook our flights all the ones before were full. So three of us in one hotel room going steadily stir crazy. It would be fun outside if the small one had wellies and my boots weren't leaking.
Meant to say mum2one, thanks for the challenges and if the tikka sauce had peanut oil in you might have the culprit. Often asthma and peanut allergies go together.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Sugarspun - thinking of you. It must be awful being stuck in this weather. When's your next flight? I hope it's not too long.
Edited to add. Doh, I really should read properly. Friday? that's a long time to wait for a flight. Is it still snowing badly?I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Hello all :j
lilian - thanks for that link............looks interesting so I've saved that to look at tomorrow:)
Snow and more snow............. So much that the main roads to our little town were closed this afternoon.............eek !! We're cut off !!
And its so cold...............best place for me was the kitchen table near the radiator so I stuck my backside there and made two weather wallys (one for my friend the other for a lad we used to look after) and a button necklace for lad's girlfriend. Thankfully this necklace turned out ok and gave me no grief..........both items now wrapped and ready to go in the post.
Which made me wonder.........if the weather's so bad and roads are closed, does post stop ? Don't want to send stuff off mid-week and find it just doesn't go anywhere.
Still don't know what to give to mums friend........specs case, button necklace, kitchen organiser............or maybe all three.........she's worth it for what she did for my mum.
Found another old place mat waiting to be converted into an organiser.........OH will pick up some paper for me in the morning. Now got more pegs so I can have a go at trying to create a 'peg board' for tea towels .........or something......:)
Well, nearing sofa and tele time......cats had my nice soft seat long enough...............take care all and stay warm:)
edit - forgot to say............Pashmina arrived this morning.......nice cream one I got from the Freebie low spend board.......just paid postage. So thats another pressie for sons girlfriend........bit more personal that recipe box and tea towel I'd put a border on...........lolI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
