Hi Jammy! We missed you too, I hope you are enjoying married life
Pinkflop - you've had a busy time! That's great news about getting your backpay and at such a handy time too!
Today I picked up a necklace and bracelet for DH's gran. I was in my mini Sainsbury's (just down the road from my new house - very handy!) and spotted a 50% off jewellery stand. I got a lovely long black/red/silver necklace and bracelet for £5.50. I'm really pleased as they are just her style and look like a 'main present' if you know what I mean. If anyone has a Sainsbury's nearby it ould be worth a check out as there were lots of lovely bits on the 50% off jewellery stand, I got myself a long pink/purple necklace for £3 too
I also orderd DH a personalised Christmas card - totally free including postage. I can't remember the site name so I'll go find it and pop it on here.Making money for Christmas 2012!0 -
Found it - http://www.ecards.co.uk/greeting-cards/
I found it on this site. You just make your card then when you get to checkout you use the code ONEFREECARD and it deducts the price of the card AND the postageMaking money for Christmas 2012!0 -
Thanks for the Nicky - I used the free card offer from M&S and that arrived this morning, had to pay p+p on that one though.
Boooooo :rotfl:
I love the sound of the Necklace set. I'll see if I can go on Friday, I have the Festive Gift Fair at the N.E.C. tomorrow.
Susan are you going? I might see you there if you are. I'll be the one stressed out, pushing my mum in her wheelchair, and stopping my two sisters arguing ( Youngest sister is happy shopping when she's got some money, as soon as she's spent it, she goes in a huff. The trouble is she's broke so it should be a heap of fun! :eek:I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Hmmm.. Sounds like you may have the thread order in date order with the last dates coming up first...
Try clicking on 'reverse sort order' arrow on the top of the column which has the 'last post' dates - that should bring the newest dates to the top.
failing that if you click on standard view (right under the Threads in Forum : Quick! Grabbit while you can title where it says see things differently) it should *I think* put the newest replied to threads at the top of the page.0 -
Hi everyone
Clare, I was reading all your activities and immediately thought of that phrase 'ask a busy person if you want something done' do you ever get a chance to sit down?
Yesterday I had a reality check when I realised that since I got into Christmas organising online (too much information and ideas) I had become more disorganised than normal
Also yesterday I was sorting decorations and got out the lights. I WAS SWEARING PROFUSELY :rotfl:this was because I couldn't remove them from the super organised way I'd stored them curtesy of advice from the Christmas site. So in the end had to resort to scissors which I was scared using in case I cut through the wires. I remember when I had been 'trying' to put them away that it was ridiculously hard but because I was determined to follow advice, I persevered. Never again!!!!
xrestrict - when you mentioned the plumber checking out all the appliances, which ones do you mean apart from the heating? (I'm curious because I'm about to ring for a boiler service so wondered what I was missing)
pinkflop - hope all goes well and what fantastic news about the money
For those of you that have listed how much you charge for gifts on craft stalls, jars, cakes, ingredients etc, thanks. I think that is very useful information.
In case anyone is interested I bought Woman's Weekly 23rd November issue 84p and immediately thought of all of you - has lots of goodies -home made gifts and they also ideas on wrapping them and what other shop bought items can be given with each make - there is - celebration stollen (without marzipan) spice cookies, mulled wine syrup, caramel fudge, spiced nuts, tomato chilli chutney, olive bread made in terracotta pots,
There is also knitted Christmas tree ornaments, lovely Christmas flowers, and a voucher for a free chocolate at Thorntons.0
