The Sevilles were sliced thnly in a tin bought from Lakeland. Just checked the price and cost £1.99 a tin (I thought it was £5.99!!!!!!!!)

I added 1800g sugar - I had a bag of preserving sugar which I used and then made the other 800g up with granulated sugar

Clear instructions on the side of the tin

Tip the sugar, oranges and 3/4pt water in a large pan and stir continuously until comes to the boil. Boil at a rolloing boil for 15mins then do the saucer test of dropping half a tsp onto a cold saucer and leave for 2mins, then push with your finger to see if the marmalade wrinkles. If it does its done, if not try again in a few mins and repeat until it wrinkles then setting point has been reached. Pot and store in warm sterillised jam jars

    I made 7x12oz jars
Cost of £1.43 for preserving sugar, 98p for granulated sugar, £1.99 for sevilles
    Total cost £4.40
    Making it 63p a jar - result!

When I ran out of marmalade there was no way I could buy anything close for this price with only 2 ingredients in

  • Just got in from doing a kids table top sale. Local high school does it in their sports hall, you are only allowed to sell kids stuff and have to have a child helping you on the stall! Its 10am till 12pm so no early starts either!! :T

My DD who's 6 and I had a stall and we made £82 so really pleased. They have one on the 5th December too so am tempted to book another pitch and de clutter some more. I have given DD £5 for helping me and DS £5 for donating his toys to sell so I am going to buy some Christmas bits tomorrow with the rest. Some meat, prawns, cheese biscuits, fizzy drinks, etc...

We're all off to my Mums in a bit for a roast beef dinner so that'll be nice, got to have the talk today about who's going where at Christmas, we'd like Mum and Dad to come to ours but don't really want brothers and families, see how that goes!! ;)

Less than 50 days now girls... :D:D
A small Thank You can make a BIG difference ;)

Well I did have a productive day planned! DID!!! Just as DS and I were ready to leave he trips over his own feet and whacks his head on 1 of our leather storage boxes! Tears and screams and then when I looked, blood, and lots of it! So trip to A&E it was! Luckily its not too bad and we have to see how well it heals overnight as Doc doesnt really want to put him to sleep to stitch it and its too close to his eye to glue! Oh what a palava! He is now asleep on the sofa and I have done nothing all day! Was planning on a nice bit of Sunday shopping, as parking is free, and this afternoon some making or wrapping! Oh well the joys of parenthood! Nothing is ever straight forward!!! x

    Hiya girls!

I am loving internet shopping at the moment (favorite place being play.com at the moment.)

Anyone knowing any other online places like play.com? Apart form amazon and ebay.

Anyway trying to finish off my dad and brother this month.

So far have ordered my dad a guitar gimmick top (hes a guitarist)
so far for my brother a joke mug
Both will have some form of man smellie and a pint of socks.

The bank balance is dreadfully low at the moment.. x
