Well done on all your buys susan, very jealous of you and elysia would have loved to have gone!

I have made another monkey over the last two nights, made with baby socks so didn't take too long.

Have a very busy weekend visiting friends and family so won't be on here, and won't get any crafting/making done, major kick into gear next week.

    Hello all :j
Susan - what a lot of goodies you got and I do love your makes on your blog...............done some reindeer covers for choccy bars but think I might do a snowman (or several)-he looks so cute.

elysia - didn't realise you;d gone to NEC as well.......I used to go with foster daughter for the Good Homes Show............loved it but it's tiring (all that opening and closing of purses...........lol)

Well my effort today has been one more pint of socks (must print out the labels for them)-got another Guiness glass I've rinsed out I found in the cupboard so that'll be three.
Did another Kitchen organiser (old cork placemat covered with paper, shopping list, calendar.....post it notes -when I get them......hadn't realised I'd run out!) and made a pigs ear of covering a diary that at this rate won't be a cheap diary by the time I finish......I got glue on the front of it and can't get it off........... Oh well, have to delve into my tub of florally bits I think.
Council rang to say could be get the old freezer out of the garage for them to pick up  Panic........I was on my own...........managed to locate OH and he found a mate to shift it.........it's 6ft.........bet now they've done it the council won't be round for weeks and the nicely painted driveway will start to look like a dumping ground...........:rotfl:

Oh well, such is life.............two little diaries to cover tomorrow and then a bit more sewing I think.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Xmas Saver!
Susan - Post her to you.... apparently shes an angel at school, but shes coming down with another cold, she must of been poorly she fell asleep on my lap 2ngt.

Popped into town, got few odds and sods, found the sale corner in Wilkos, got some Disney Princess bits and bobs reduced to 49p, water sprayers 10p, a4 notebook 32p, pack of 50 pencils 25p..

Miss Hoodie had a letter from school they want all the children to do a shoebox, so got few toilettries, and add pencils, crayons etc, got a lovely teddybear from Poundland, so fill that at weekend.

Wilkos - they had 75% off the Halloween stock, ours had got a good range left.

Home Bargains - there just starting to get more of the christmas presents range in.

I'm going up in the world, as from today I am now a School Govener.... so funny seeing the head... even biting my nails before went in....!!

The fruit is swelling lovely, and looking plumped up, so cooking 2mor.

We now have the bathroom saga sorted - they've agreed to move the job to April next yr, Miss Hoodie + me be in Dom Rep, and mum, dad and Bailey are going to Wales for 2 weeks, worked out that Miss Hoodie and me go up for the weekend and the airport from there. Fell really lucky, tried a few sites - the prices weren't nice, then remembered I'd taken the telephone number of the private owner whos caravan we had last yr, been booked through a site. Shes done us a deal, based on the provisional site prices and hers we've saved nearly £200. Glad everyone sorted. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Morning all

Checked my bank this morning and had about a tenner left in it which I won't need to use before my next lot of money goes in on Tuesday so went on Amazon (through Nectar site) and bought OH a couple of dvds from his list. The total came to about £8.49 and it said I still had some vouchers left on it so took that off and it came to 29p so ordered them and then ordered two more off the list as well. He has ten more on the list including one which is a box set that is £22.99 so will try to get another Amazon voucher to get that. I am nearly half way to one on Dooyoo thanks to having a spurt the last few days and doing some reviews. It will be alright if the Toluna vouchers come in time but dont think they will. I have £30 on there owing and 3/4 way to next one.

Need to pop up town a bit later as taking youngest daughter to Connexions for some career advice. She isn't sure what she wants to do yet, does her GCSEs in the summer, wants to stay on but doesnt know what subjects to take or whether to go on to college instead of school. It seems so confusing now a days, when I was 16 you either stayed on and did A levels or you left and got a job. She doesnt know what she wants to do for a career yet, talking one day about working with kids and the next about going in the army.

Might pop in 99p shop or Wilkinsons with her while up there if I got any change in my purse and see if she can get some bits for the emergency boxes she wants to do for her brother and sister. We have some light bulbs already so can put one of those in each box.
  • Got DD1's winter survival hamper done last night and it's all wrapped also finished putting the eyes on 2 socks monkeys and have wrapped them.
Just need to get Grandads hamper done and wrapped and Nans needs wrapping then I can get them posted before the rush starts with Royal mail.
Also need to order some more cellophane seem to be getting through loads of it

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Just made 5 jars of Nigella's Christmas Chutney by halving the ingredients. Couldn't justify spending £8 on cranberries to make 2.2L! Spent £4 on 300g and it made just over half the 9 jars

Think each jar costs about £1.40-£1.50 from costing the rest of the ingredients

Next weekend I'll make the marmalade then I think that's all the chutney, jam and marmalade making done leaving the granola and fruit compote.

Making another Christmas Cake tomorrow and if I can do it I'll make 2 meaning they're done and dusted bar the feeding.

Finding it hard now to fit in the Christmas preps, work full time, masters study, house cleaning and having a life plus my running programme of an hour a time!

So that's all the Christmas stuff for today, next is some cleaning then some studying that must be done today

Planning 1.5 hrs, break for dog walking then another 1.5hrs then stop for the Sat night TV fest

Tomorrow plan to bake 1 or 2 cakes, another run, clean the one remaining room, complete the ironing, do some batch cooking for the week and then aim for 4hrs study and take 2 books back to the library and pay the fines (boo!)
final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333
