Susan - Thanks for the poem and the labels.

I was in Townhouse in Glasgow today and I got little fluffy pink socks and I will make small sock monkeys, they were 30p a pair.

Also got retro looking tins, for a pound each. Going to use these for my make your own cookies gifts, and they can keep the cookies in them once baked :)

Also in a kind of pound shop on argyle street I got a Therma Beanie hat for my dad, should have been 15.99 on the label. They had alot of other stuff, glass jars for bath bombs or cookies. I will go back once I have an idea of what I am actually doing lol.

I had an idea for a nice smoothie. Bathbombs at the bottom, then a scrunchie bath mit on top inside a clear fruit smoothie cup I got from the nice staff at a coffee shop next to me, i will post when I make it.. :)

Qaphsiel those hampers are (as Craig Revel Horwood would say) A-MAZ-ING! I seem to remember seeing the Toy Story ones in Morrisons, may nip into B&M tomorrow and see what they have.
Ordered a couple of DVD's from Play with Quidco, A Christmas Carol which DS saw last year and has not stopped going on about it, and How to Train your Dragon, which he has been saving up for and has got just over half the money so have said we will put the rest to it as he has done really well at school this week.
Sorting out bonfire night party tomorrow, 6 families, £10 each and we have bundles of food and fireworks, well chuffed, just want it to stop raining.
Kitchen looks fantastic, just a few bits to be finished off and our extravagance - dishwasher waiting for it to be delivered!
Re-booked my exam for the end of the month :-( (got to pass this time costs too much!!!) need to get my head down and do some studying, but lots to ebay too and need to get this on to make some hard earned cash for the final present push! Had my Christmas chocs delivered today, £4.50 for a box of QS, can't fault Tesco, will go beer shopping next week if they put the double up vouchers back on. Starting to get very excited now...

I havent felt so ill since having swine flu!!

Anyway I managed to get 5 monkeys done in a couple of days for my DN who was down with us for a week to take back with him for his kiddies!
(pre-gastric flu!) Cello'd all pots of gold.....snowman soup all done.
Just got DD's main pressie to get PS3 (dont know why she wants it) but we have agreed she can have it if she gives up her Wii to be sold and proceeds to go towards PS3!
Sold 2 old Nokias to fonebank and nice cheque for £160 came 2 days later (v.pleased). Got a HTC phone going either on ebay or to CEX for more pennies!!
I will get to grips with challenge over the next couple of days (if my energy levels allow me to!!)

Hope everyone else is ok and working their way towards the big day lol

Qaphisel - Fabuloso hampers u have there.

    Hi all

I've been skimming this thread rather than reading every post as I don't have the time this week, Jamtart I like those Christmas trees and other projects on your blog, I also had a peep at the other blogs.

I spotted a few of you over on the gift jar thread :) There was a link to a jar project on a children's craft site and whilst looking round the edible crafts section I came across another good idea.

It's a greeting card that is also a pressie - contains a sachet of drinking chocolate. I think it would also be good as a lid for a box of goodies -

    Xmas Saver!
Susan - You are wonderful with the pics and poems - massive thank you.

Angela - Massive thank you as well, that hoc choc heart looks fab.

Been very organised 2ngt. Have got my fruit soaking ready for xmas cake making on Sat. Doing the tradational cake and the tropical one, there soaking in a good variety of drinks (sherry, brandy, peach shnapps, cherry brandy, raspberry brandy, brandy and whisky), just raided the drinks shelf... So that be Sat sorted out, don't like almonds so swopped them for walnuts.

Got to laugh got some tropical fruit (dried) from Asda, I didn't know what I was chopping up, picked up one piece of fruit and it looked like dried mushrooms, then finally decided it must be the pineapple.

Give you all a laugh - Miss Hoodie - she had her tea, then to prolong the "I don't want to go to bed" - get I'm hungry.... No you've had tea, etc.... What do you want for breakfast"- She replies
"I don't want anything for breakfast, I won't be here, I will of starved to death 2ngt".... thought 10/10 for the reply but trying to keep a straight face, mum was trying to tell dad, she was laughing she couldn't repeat it.

Digressing again - Asda - they have some glass storage jars £1 each or 3 for £2, there an 80s throwback, there a weird shaped glass, can be stored on the bottom or the side - remember we use to have one for biscuits. Would be great for massive sweet jar, or biscuits etc...
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

SUSAN - I just popped in (haven't read the thread yet).

I haven't been around since Monday (I think) as our big Christmas Avon order came, and I've been delivering since then. Anyway (stop waffling Julie) I was at the NEC today too. I can't believe I missed you. I walked around so much, my legs hurt now and I can't sleep. LOL. I came hope with about 10p. It was great, I've never been before and it's two minutes from my house. Come on then, what did you buy? I need details LOL.

Will catch up tomorrow morning properly. Take care everyone. Big hugs to all xxx

    Morning eveyone

Didn't get anything up the town after all. I will wait until next week when hopefully I will have a bit more money and see what I can find for OH.

Well jealous of you going to NEC Susan and Elysia, I went a few years ago to a craft thing there, my brother paid for me to go and took me with him and my SIL, was brilliant.

I am getting so bored lol, nothing to do whilst OH is asleep all day and hes on nights all weekend. Might see if I can get some more reviews done, points on there slowly creeping up but nothing to write home about. Rufus xx

Elysia - I cant believe I missed you today would have been lovely to put a face to the name.:(

I blogged my buys . I`m lucky to have lots of craft shops near so I seen loads but know where it would have been cheaper.

But I still spent loads. I took my OH who enjoyed it, even carrying all my bags, he doesnt let me carry anything and makes me sit down every hour....

    Thxs for the idea angela.
