I got a fair bit of crafty stuff in Aldi on Sunday, they have nice tissue, 1.79 a pack and the boxes should do for my hampers, 3.49 a set. They had the chocolate reindeer's in but they were too big for my pots of gold.

I have the cold, so Im not feeling very crafty.

Im waiting on my cello to be delivered, and I need to get a JML sealer, my bathbomb ingredients have been despatched. I got some jars in B&M and I think they will be good for salt scrub selections. I did get some other stuff, but cant remember now :) ohhhhh a really good sized silicone loaf tin to make my chocolate slabs.......... waiting on thermometre to arrive so I can temper the chocolate.

Evans order got cancelled as well!!!! lloyds order arrived, very happy with it all, other than the slippers were OOS. :(

Have all of DD's xmas. Just her helmet to get for her bike and thats her all organised.

esmer - thanks for the Pint of Socks link -need to get some more socks I think........markets on tomorrow and thats the best place for me to get them and decent price.

susan -lucky you.............don't spend too much but have a good time

Just done couple more fabric hearts...........three to go I think then I've used up my red fabric bits. That'll give me 7 and I've got the ones I did last year. Material keeps fraying............got my pinking shears out and it still frayed..........still I'm hoping it'll give them a more 'rustic' look..............lol
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

  • Just dropped in. Feeling a bit better thankfully. Been doing some internet xmas shopping this afternoon so must be better!!!

Someone on here asked about something to buy their 9 year old, or was it 10 year old, grown up female relative?

Well the Offer of the Week in Boots starting on friday is this, most girls that age are really into Strictly Come Dancing and as its a make up set and storage system I think it'd be perfect? Its £45 down to £22 on Friday in Boots.

  • Re the ebay saga the lady messaged me to say that she couldnt understand how it smelt as it had been freshly washed and was hung in the wardrobe prior to her posting it (dread to think the state of the wardrobe as this is covered in dog hair:eek:) but she would give me a partial refund when she worked out how to do it, messaged her back asking how much she was going to refund me and explained how to do it and so far nothing will give it until tomorrow lunch time and then I am going to ebay and paypal

    Hi

Its great that you have taken up knitting it is one thing I just cannot do.

    th_007-1.jpg

Snowman soup is a cello cone with drinking chocolate in and chocolate chips and on top of that some marshmellows tape a candy cane to the side as a stirer and print the snowman soup tag and attach.

    Pots of gold

Gold pot filled with gold coloured wrap sweets ie gold chocolate coins, fererro rocher, and a christmas wishes star the photo shows what they look like made up.

Vistaprint here is the link register with them and they will send you loads of emails for free offers were you just pay the postage and you can get calendars, mugs, photobooks loads of offers on the emails;)

Reindeer poop is chocolate covered raisins some of us make up our own bags and toppers this is just for example as havent done my reindeer poop yet but have done bags of reindeer noses

    th_393.jpg

Reindeer food I use edible glitter and porridge oats for mine just mix together dry and you could put it into a cello cone with the poem.

Xmas eve hamper is a hamper (or box with nice paper on) with things in for the kids to do on christmas eve ie dvd, book reindeer food may be a craft thing for them to do some new pj's just whatever you want to put in it really :D

As for the fudge I havent made any yet but am sure someone will explain it to you if i make it i end up eating it and its not good for my waistline or should that be lack of waistline:rotfl:

HTH and is not to confusing :D

Hi Jammy, Nice to see you back, hope the new job is coming along nicely. I have nearly finished my gift buying for this year, just OH to get a few small bits for but the pennies are running out. The other thread keeps drifting back in the pack as no one seems able to make any extra money these days, not like we used to anyway.

I have some sewing to do for next year's Chrismtas presents but dont really want to make a start on them until after Xmas so getting a bit bored not having much crafting to do. Decided to make a few small dolls to put by for a stall and was painting black boots on them this morning when I noticed the paint must have squirted and its gone on my white tablecloth. Have taken it out to rinse and its made a right mess of it so have put it in the wash with some Ace bleach and hope it comes out. OH will go nuts when he gets up, he only washed it yesterday evening. I wish now I had taken it off before starting but thought I would be able to be careful enough not to get it anywhere. Had paper spread out on table and it had to hit the bit that the paper was not covering.

Going up town later on when he gets up (hes been on nights all week and back again for the weekend tomorrow night), dont know if we will get anything Christmassy, I know I wont, dont have any money left until Tuesday.

Eldest daugther and the grand kids are off to Florida this morning with her Dad so will miss them for the next two weeks.

Catch you all later Rufus xx

mummyslittleboy thankyou so much, that really helps, i will definitely try those, ahh the raindeer food is one of our christmas eve traditions, my boy(10) makes it up himself and we all throw some out on the lawn before he goes to bed, then he does the carrot and mince pie and milk for santa and Rudolf.

started knitting for my newest grand daughter and i'm thinking of doing more for christmas, would love to post a pic but it wont let me.
i've heard of some ppl mention slimming world, do any of you do it? are youwatching the sins over christmas? reason i'm asking is i have the SW christmas cook book with lots of meals in it, i could post some of them too once i learn how, i know its not crafting but it still christmassy.
