You all seem to be busy.............makes me feel guilty here ...mind you I have made a couple of cards then foster daughter came round so time just sort of went. She's wanting to have a go at knitting as she's never done it before and oddly enough I was thinking of having a go myself. I stopped years back when my fingers were really bad but wondering if I could attempt it again........nothing too complicated............scarf maybe ?? Oh we'll see come new year I think. Get christmas out the way first. If I'm not careful I fill my head with things I want to do and never get anything done........lol:rotfl:
Hope you're having a good day despite whatever weather you're having...........pouring down here:(I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

elysia - i know what you mean by OH, yesterday i went for coffe with OH and he told me , i`m moving up into the loft, I thought he was being funny, until i realised he`d done it all out and i have two rooms instead of one, one for a craft room and one for a computer room, I just spent all weekend moving everything. He then painted the room I was in and when finished he moved onto another one, he retired last year early and he driving me nuts...if he was my postie he`d never speak to me the number of parcels here

Mary - trouble is, OH wants to do these things but I end up either supervising or taking over and doing it myself.:eek::eek: So I wouldn't bother borrowing him.
Susan how fantastic! How did he do all of that without you knowing. OH wants to retire early, I may have to go to work myself to get away from him. He's OK in small doses. :rotfl:
I want to make that lolly tree now. If you use sweets in wrappers you would be better off attatching them with a hot glue gun. Sounds expensive but you can get them for less than a fiver and they come in handy for so many things, you'd easily get your monies worth.
Mary - about Son's girlfriends presents. Just take it easy, there's plenty of time yet - Don't worry.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

elysia - thinking about sons girlfriends stuff over dinner (amazing what bread sauce can do to the brain............lol) and think I'm almost there anyway. I'd started doing stuff for her early on (button necklaces etc.) so may well be on top of it............well almost. Not on top of anything yet........and yesterday found some more pebbles in the garden, nice flat ones............have this yearning to paint ''smile'' on every one............then I can give everybody a grin this year...................lol
Must draw up plan of ''stuff to finish off'' for next week................but for now...........tele and Inspector George Gently beckons.............lol:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi girls
Mary - you know you mentioned getting back into knitting - well I saw these fantastic hand knitted beads in my friend's People's Friend craft mag. You only cast on 12 stitches and knit them into a square - any stitch, cast off then do running stitches at each end and stuff them with wadding and pull the stitches together. It looked really easy, no idea how they turn out, I haven't done it yet.
Then you either use elastic for a bracelet or else leather strips for necklaces.
Susan, some of the cupcake toppings are made from cream cheese the type that you find in a carrot cake recipe.0
