Hello all :j
Clare - its me who's going to Edinburgh and Loch Lomond in a fortnight.
Loving all the ideas for ''the year you were born''. I'm wanting something for my grandchildren who'll be 18 this christmas but have opted for party box each, silver chain for grandson and necklace for grandaughter, plus keyring I'll concoct for ''key of the door''. Saw somewhere on here of another thread an offer of a certificate of things that happened the day you were born (cost of living, music, toys etc.) but can't seem to find it:eek:
I did something for son when he was 40 but that was stuff I printed out from internet on what toys were about, news, music, etc. If I do that for the twins I'll be at it forever................lol
Not done much today apart from make some pegs with magnets on the back to stick on the fridge for clipping notes to. Some with red check ribbon and red button, some with green spotted paper and red button and black spotted ribbon with white button.............two more to do....................lol:rotfl:
Would have done them but neighbours daughter's key broke in their lock and had to get locksmith out to sort it..............he was good and came straight away thank goodness:) By this time I was sat at the kitchen table disappearing fast in piles of paper, ribbon, buttons and glue..................lol:rotfl:Thought I'd never find my way out.........lol:rotfl:
Every intention of doing more, -stuffed fabric hearts, finish off patchwork border on tea towel.......and so on..................oh well, tomorrow is another day:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

We're going on a coach trip for a long weekend -the hotel is actually in Glasgow but we're being taken to Loch Lomond for one day and Edinburgh the next. I'm really looking forward to it............hoping the coat I've got will be warm enough..............lol
OH has been before (his parents are scottish) but I never have..........apart from a wedding a few years back and it was freezing............lol (hence the coat, hat, scarf, gloves...........lol Dilemma over boots......the only ones I've seen cheap and cheer ful and fur lined are in faux suede and they'll get wrecked if it rains so might just hope that my trainers will be ok..........lol:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Evening all
Cdsmiler - I'm happy to post a pic on here, once I find my camera lol!
Well, not had a very good night tbh as I tipped a glass of coke over my laptop so it's not working at the moment - been trying to dry it out with a hair dryer but no luck so far! I seem to be very bad with laptops as the one that is now soaked with coke also has a broken screen so I can only see half of the screen and the rest is all black as I stood on it a few months ago! I wanted to get the screen replaced but have been told that it will cost nearly as much as a new one so may as well just get a new one when I can finally afford it! I had a laptop before this one and I dropped it when coming down the stairs and the conecter at the back broke so I can only use it wen it has a pile of books pushing down on it and I can't move it even a little as if I do the power goes! Oh dear, I am really not good with laptops lol!
When I was on here last year I remember seeing something about 'journal in a jar' - can anyone help refresh my memory?
Also, I know that this is not very mse but I absolutely love getting the xmas magazines when they come out - you know the ideal home xmas one and I think there is actually a magazine called 'the christmas magazine' etc etc so if any one spots any being sold can you give me a shout so I know when to start camping outside my news agents lol!
Right, hope everyone is well and having a better evening then me lol!0 -
Djstar - Here is a journal jar link from organized Christmas, it has a link to the prompts on there too

Ah ha. Sorry!!! Easily confused, me.... Looking forward to it? What's happening to the lad while you're away?
djstar - oh no! Hope your laptop ends up working - not exactly the best drink to tip over it!!!
Just want to say a collective thank you to everyone who gave ideas for the 90th birthday - it's really helped me get started! I just need to whip everyone else into shape!

I keep forgetting to tell you all!! If any of you have an iphone (Might be on other smart phones too, I'm not sure) there's a free app called "Sleeps Lite" - it's a countdown to Christmas!! You can choose which character is holding the signing saying how many sleeps to Christmas AND you can choose music to play in the background! I'm currently sat here in an empty office with the app open seeing that it's 81 sleeps til Christmas with "O Come All Ye Faithful" playing!! lol
