Well done Pipsmum. They are gorgeous. You and legendmum ought to be very proud of yourselves.

I need to buy my bits to put in mine. I've got my snowballs but that's it. I did buy some dried lime circles from Hobbycraft today to add to my jars of jams and chutney. I will tie them with cinammon sticks and raffia to the jars, for a rustic look. :D I bought lime rather than orange (which did smell gorgeous by the way) because they were only 99p and the orange ones were £2.99. ;) They also had loads in the pack, probably about three limes, I couldn't have made them myself for that price, having to buy the limes in the first place and then leaving them to dry in the oven for hours. A few years ago, after searching on google I found out you can dry them in the microwave, but they all just burnt. :(

    Hi Ladies

Pipsmum, those are really gorgeous mugs, and look good with the wrapping. I bet they will be a welcome present for the staff.

Elysia, I love the sound of what you are doing with your dry fruit, it will look really nice when finished with your jars.

And the cinnamon sticks reminded me of a something I thought about making - using paper from my shredder to make quilling petals for a poinisetta, then in the middle to stick on some cinnamon sticks. I saw it in a mag as part of a greeting card project but I'll probably use it as a decoration to hang up on the wall in case the quilling is fragile. It's been years since I've done it.

Pips Mum those mugs are kush! I have been looking for some Chrismas mugs for the Santa soup but have had no luck! Wish I would have known this in January and I could have picked up some in the sales! Well done on your pots of Gold too I really need to buy cellophane because the OH is eyeing them up and I may end up with empty pots if I dont wrap them quick!
Really starting to get into the Christmas mood now and I am soooo glad that I can talk to all of you because if I mention that word to my friends they are horrified because its too early! I think this year I will have the last laugh come December! :)

Abandonz - I hope you get everything straight soon.

Anglea - quilling sounds fab. It's something I've not actually tried but would love to have a go.

OH has made plans to wallpaper the bedroom so I'm hiding on here in the hopes that he forgets. :rotfl:Doesn't he know Sunday is a day of rest? Grrrrrr I can loan him out if anyone wants him - he don't sit still for a second.

Sounds like everyone is doing fab, this thread really puts me in a Christmassy mood :D

I'm really stuck on a gift for my brother - he's 20 and doesn't have any hobbies really, except he spends his time playing games and is studying game design at uni.. I have NO idea what to get him! And not a game, because they're all stupidly expensive.
