Mum2one - not the dreaded holiday jinx again :( Sorry to hear you've been so poorly. You don't think that it was your body telling you something about the trip with your friend?

I can understand you having an icky feeling about it all if he's like that. I would have been tempted to lock him out if he carried on like that when you went away!

Think this is one hol don't mind missing, got the Dom Rep next yr, with Miss Hoodie, can't wait....

In the nicest of ways - glad I didn't go - maybe nature was doing me a favour.xx

    Hi everyone :)

Hope you don't mind me joining you all, im going to attempt to make a couple of homemade gifts this year and ive had a bit of a look through your thread and ive got to say you have some great ideas!

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas for a christmas eve hamper for adults? We can't have children and I don't want the fun of christmas to disappear because of that...so im trying to think of some ideas for some (semi) grown ups :D

    Morning all!
Morning and welcome to the newcomers even though I have only been here a short while myself! This thread is great and very friendly!
No news Christmas wise im afraid as I was going to do some bits last night but the house nearly caught fire so I was busy bailing out the smoke! I was cooking the dinner when the alarms started going off and I entered a smoke filled kitchen! Discovered a lonely sock on fire at the bottom of the oven courtesy of DS! All he kept saying was Pontypandy Fire! Fireman Sam has a lot to answer for! This is the second time he has set the oven on fire mind! First time was before his 1st birthday when I was cooking dinner and again allarms and smoke and had to get the neighbour in to use a fire extinguisher in the oven as he had put a glass candle in there and the wax had caught fire!!! I am going to have to start sweeping the oven for foreign objects before I use it!!!
I need to start doing stuff rather than buying and hoarding so will defo start the pots of Gold sometime this weekend!
An awful lot of Welshies on this thread I am in South Wales too! xxx

Legendmum - That really made me chuckle this morning!!!!!! :)

Mum2one - sorry about the holiday and I hope you feel better soon!

I got a couple more bargains yesterday - some sparkly, fluffy fairy wings half price in Mothercare for my friends little girl, then Waterstones have BOGOF on picture books so got two beautiful books for £5.99!!!!

Slowly but surely more things are turning 'green' on my christmas list!!!

Off to see my nan in her nursing home today so I shall pop into the Range (down the road from her) to get some buttons to finish my sock monkeys (took one to work, now have lots of orders!!).

....and a quick question...my nan is in a nursing home, has dementia. She is still mobile. Loves music, played the piano and sung professionally......any ideas for chistmas present? I am stumped. Thought maybe a photo book......?

Thanks in advance and I hope you all have a successful 'organised christmas' day today! :):):)
