hello ladies
Long time since I have posted. I have currently injured my foot yesterday nothing too serious so off my work today resting it.
I am not very organised for christmas yet as I am still trying to get my new house organised and we moved in April.
I am currently skint so christmas is going to be very limited this year I feel.
So far I have bought 4 pairs of kids PJs with their names on it and a perfume box set for my sister,
The next few weeks are going to be busy busy as I have my dads birthday next saturday (havent bought anything or know what to get him), my sister birthday a week on Monday (her gift nearly complete), got an engagement party on 29th October (dunno what to get) and my little cuz naming ceremony in November ( I have an idea but not acted upon it yet).
Anyway everyone here is an inspiration and hopefully I will be able to start next year shopping alot earlier.

Hello all :j
Clare - only thing I can think of is a little pot or bag of snowballs (either mini bath bombs or bon bons or marshmallows) hth
Not done much today -open day at our local college so went to view the art and craft courses - some of them work out too expensive.........had a go at making a little stainless steel key fob with my name stamped on it but name was all wonky so can't see me doing that one..................lol Our lad came with us..........he did key fob as well but no way is he having a key !!...............lol:rotfl:
Make do and mend on was mainly about how to sew on a button or turn up trousers ! I can do that anyway...............but there was a 'recessionist' one using fabric and any oddments to re-vamp clothes or make bits and pieces...........bit expensive though.
Think I'll opt for a bit of willow work and have a go at a christmas wreath..............give me an idea whether I can work with all the twisting about or not.
Poured with rain all day and I've got wallflowers and bulbs to plant:eek:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Thanks Mary - all suggestions are great, thank you!
Currently thinking of doing an individual cup cake for each person, with some sort of new year decoration, but what? Other than the obvious 2011 or Happy New Year of course! lol

Ok, it's all your fault! I can't stop looking for "gold" things when out shopping and I haven't ever made these "pots of gold" but i might start.
In the Co-op they have the treat size bags of Caramel & Crunchie bars on offer, I think it was 2 for £3.00. I thought these would be good for children pots of gold.
As I walked by the glassware they had some really nice glasses for 50p each that would make great pots.

Lol Johnswife - you're getting the hang of thrifty gifty and being organised now! You're as bad as us lot.
Susan/Clare - We are going to Porthcawl (Trecco Bay). We went to Pendine (South West Wales) in the summer. I'll wave as we drive past.
I've been out shopping with OH today, I bought 3 out of the 4 Monster High dolls, and a make your own jewellery set. I had a voucher for £10 off when you spent £50 but when I got to the till, it expired yesterday. GRrrrr
I got DD1 pyjamas, and got Mum some fruit in liquer to go with the foodie hamper I'm making (I was going to make my own, but this worked out cheaper, especially as I had another one free (for me).
I then went to Tesco's and they have a DVD boxset of Karate kid 1, 2. 3. and the new one for only £9. I'm pennyless again now, so I'm hoping for a few payouts, in the next few weeks.
Happy Birthday Mary.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Hi all
Looking for some ideas! I was thinking of doing my sister a 'pamper' hamper type thing, and BIL a movie night hamper.. but was thinking I could maybe combine them? Any ideas what I could include? (if I combine or separate). I know lots of you have made similar, but looking through all of these pages of posts my head gets all jumbled lol! ThanksSealed Pot challenge #508

I am doing a simialr thing for my sister and her partner. I am calling it a night in hamper (movie night and pamper hamper). My ideas so far for it are:
Dvd
Choccie and some other munchies i have decided on yet
Bottle of Wine or a can of beer and small bottle wine
Candle (for mood enhancement)
Face pack
Massage bar from Lush
Well i did not get my freezers done today  I will get them done before Christmas and i was pee'd off as i logged into my DooYoo account this morning expecting to be over the 30 000 mark so i can cash in for a Amazon voucher to buy my daughter a dolls pram for Christmas and found almost 10 000 of the points had expired  It said yesterday when i logged in and rated people reviews and wrote a couple myself that the points would expire in 30 days or something but didnt realise it would be the next day. So now need another 10 000 to get back upto the 30 000 again0 -
Oh what a shame, they must have started to expire 29 days ago - but they could have given you a better idea when! I logged into mine yesterday as I haven't written one for about three months so I was expecting mine to say that. I made a few product suggestions as the things I wanted to write about weren't listed. So at least I attempted to make a start again on dooyoo.
Quapsiel - re; the spy bits you were buying. If you wanted the night vision goggles, they are on three for two in Sainsburys.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!
