  • On the grabbit board, there's children's goodybags FREE (supposed to be £20, but that's debatable apparantly!) but you just pay p&P (under £4). I've just ordered one - and apparantly people have ordered these from the same company last year too, so they're legit!

    Good news.......
Went for diabetic check up (sugar level not gd, but were ignore that for now!!), but I've lost another 6lbs in weight, since about April (highest weight of the year), lost 12kg......

    Argos
Miss Hoodie was on about her bike this morning as her birthday has now she better start thinking about Christmas prezzies. She had the choice for her bday of bike or dsxl, she choose the xl but we had found a bike in Halfords - there was 2 that she liked, but they were out of stock - why have them on display.... apparently the 2 bikes were £70 and £100 - you literally couldn't get one for love nor money.
Then after the Argos lady saying big items flying out, the 2 cheaper bikes - one we liked £140 reduced to £70, the next up was £80, again for love nor money - no idea when stocks would be anywhere.

Had a look through clearance section - off to town 2mor, thought have a peep

    For mum got this
    1. 9ct Gold Heart Mum Family Locket Pendant.

    Dad - got him this

and thought - while I'm online just check to see if her bike was back in for home stock, got it text message at 6 stores within 80 mile round trip...... and

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

it was it stock, I have got the last one of all three items in the county....... gd thing is that we can store the bike in the garage -

With mum and dad usually get them something joint of me and Miss Hooide - managed to get the camera from £150 to £55, they got these to collect 2mor, put £10 up each for nick nacks and the daft things, then give Miss Hoodie £20 each for them and she chooses what they have - usually £20s worth of beer for dad - he's got everything. xx

mummyslittleboy - those pots of gold look great

nickybo - hope the move goes smoothly

mum2one - I thought of you today when I saw a story in the paper about a 2 year old boy being asked to take his hood down in the Co-op!! :rotfl:Well done on getting the bike too.

Not done anything Christmassy this week, but am gearing up to it - can't believe it's October tomorrow already!! Am doing a sponsored Dog Walk this weekend for The Dog's Trust charity so hopefully it won't be pouring with rain :)
  • Thank you djstar and Elyise my girls seem a bit perkier already X

Great idea CDSmiler about the walkies talkies as she wanted those anyway so i can use them as part of the kit. Not sure about naked flames though

I want some wooden boxes to make hampers with about A4 size and 3 inches deep but with a lid. Has anyone seen any?? I was hopng to decorate them for the childs own taste and thought might be nice as most children like boxes to keep their bits in. Any ideas otherwise i might have to get the power tools out and make some with MDF
  • Thanks CDSmiler have ordered 1 of the goodie bags. Will be ideal for stocking fillers.
  • mum2one - well done on the bike!!!!!!!

qaphsiel - glad I could help!!
