  • Well the hamper idea went off the boil as quickly as I thought about tackling it!!! DD's mobile up for upgrade so she had me on phone to T-Mob to sort it out and see what deals I could get.......Sorted the phone out but they did not have in stock until Friday.....Would she wait.....Hell no!!! Asked if nearest store had it in stock...Yes....So guess who had to go out in rain to get it!!! (Cos she has DD flu!!)
She is one happy bunny now......Blackberry grrrrrr!!!!

My OH family coming to mine boxing day, his dad is vegetarian any ideas for foods would be great, don't just want salad stuff and jacket pots (I like to do buffet type thing on boxing day so not spending all time in kitchen!) Any make ahead and freeze ideas would be excellent as space in fridge will be tight, as always lol

Firstly (and most importantly) Happy Birthday Miss Hoodie, hope you have had a lovely day!

I had my economics exam this morning - failed it by 5 marks so really disappointed. Also lost my voice - believe this to be laryngitis - had a sore throat over the weekend, now no longer sore but have no voice!

Christmas presents are coming along nicely though - I went to Argos yesterday having ordered quite a lot of things on 342, and got the fisher price camera's for DS and DD and the new all singing all dancing Baby Annabell free! Also got a wicked Harry Potter lego Hogwarts castle which is a game (even the dice is made from lego!) and I really can't wait to play it! The best thing is that my parents are buying the camera's so it will cost me even less. Shopping for DD is now complete barring her stocking!
I have also sorted out the freezer during the last couple of days, and have my recipe cards and books at the ready to make some goods in preparation for the big day.

Have had a right action packed couple of weeks with allsorts going wrong - firstly the telephone line is not working, well it works on the test socket but not on the master socket - calling BT out to sort may cost £125 (money I really haven't got) Secondly, one of the kids turned the hob on whilst making their breakfast, there was half an apple pie in a metal tray on the top of the hob - this started smoking at which point I realised I could smell burning, I quickly moved the metal tray onto the worktop - and went to check the kids were ok. When I went back to move the tray, I realised there was a ten pence piece underneath the pie and this had melted the resin on the laminate worktop. To cut a long story short now waiting on our insurance company to replace the worktops in the kitchen. OH has decided we need to buy a dishwasher as well and replace some of the kitchen doors to make it look new, I have no idea where the money is coming from..... well the savings account actually but that was earmarked for something else...Then the HD remote broke (only had a month - they have replaced this with no quibble within 3 working days too!)

On a high note, I have made my £10 for Secret Santa - won the bonus ball at work last week so I'm definitely in!!! It was lovely last year, and I wear my "present" virtually every day!

I am in shock now - OH has just announced what he would like for Christmas and its not even October!

Qaphsiel - Here's some Night vision goggles for the spy hamper. They're great - I got my nephew some.

Spy sleeve here - 7 in 1 toy.

    Phone Listening toy here.

    Lie detector test here

    Finger printing kit?

    Spy recording kit

    Security camera.

I know they're getting increasingly more expensive, but just add one toy and the magnifying glass, notebook etc that someone suggested further up to keep the cost down.
