  • Thank you all so much for the lovely messages about my dodgy eye! They really cheered me up :D.
Well, I saw the doctor yesterday and he checked my eye and asked many, many questions. I now have antibacterial eye drops in case it's an eye infection. I'm also booked in on Tuesday for a blood test to check my thyroid and on Saturday to investigate for glaucoma. So I don't know what it is yet but at least it's being taken seriously and shouldn't be too long before I have an answer.

I'm going to reply to the posts I've just caught up on but I didn't make notes in Word like I usually do and now I've forgotten half of wat I was going to type! So I apologise if I miss you out, I didn't mean to!

Mary - I hope your lad is less fidgety today, failing that give him a duster and let him fidget near some woodwork :rotfl:! My Auntie used to foster a lot of kids, she had 5 children of her own and decided that wasn't enough . She used to get the very badly behaved ones as she had received special training on dealing with them, her house always had a punched hole in a wall or door where the kids had lost it!

Thanks very much for the Baileys fudge recipe, that looks so nice and I'll definitely give it a try when I'm in my new house (which will hopefully not be long now).

    Happy Belated Birthday Miss Hoodie!!

And Happy Birthday soon to Fedup in case I can't get on the internet to say it on the day :)

Well, I was going to respond to more posts but I really should get ready for work. I'm moving tomorrow (in with the in-laws until our purchase of our new house is complete) but I should be able to pop on here now and then in my lunch break.

    xx

Foxy - sorry about all your things going wrong, might not be bad getting the work tops replaced though if insurance will pay out, well done on winning the tenner. As for OH saying what he wants for Xmas already, I think in the end it rubs off from us being so organised. My OH came in my craft room the other day looking for a spare box. When I asked him what for he said he wanted to put some presents in as he has been buying some already, made me laugh as he used to moan about me having boxes on top of the wardrobe full of presents.
  • Morning all,

Thank you for the suggestions with the spy kit / hamper. I think i will buy 1 expensive item like Elysia suggested then seek cheaper things to go in the kit. Love all the suggestions X

I was hoping to get my kitchen cupboards in order and clean out my freezers today but my little girls are poorly with tonsilitsis so not sure if i will get them done as i will be playing nurse to them :o

Hope everyone else has a good day :D
  • Morning all :)

Well, not really done much at all as still been feeling really poop but going out for a meal with my sister tonight so that should cheer me up :)

I really need to start making notes like someone said earlier as I read all the posts thinking of lots of things to say and then by the time I get to the end I completely forget what I was going to say and who to lol!

Happy late birthday to miss hoodie xx and happy birthday in advance to fedup xx

Whoever made the pot's of gold (sorry - my memory is terrible!) well done they are fab!!

Qaphsiel - thanks for the tip on the radio times, what a bargain! Also hope your girls get better soon xx

Cant really go out now until Monday,we have the Ryder cup here and as i only live down the road it is chaos, never seen so many police. On the plus side there are famous faces about, eating in restaurants etc and i have something to watch out of my bedroom window. Not much Christmassy things going on here then.
  • Hi QueenB I know how you feel. It's the conservatives party thingy here this weekend, and it was the Pope a fortnight ago! I wanted to go into the centre of Birmingham, but I've got no chance.

Glad all the tests are sorted for you Nicky. We'll have you better in no time. Hope the move-in with the inlaws goes well.

Qapsiel - Hope your girls get better soon, tonsilitis is horrible. My DD2 is stuffed up with cold at the moment. I've had to send her to school as she has a week off 18th October - We are going to Wales on a Sun Holiday. DJstar I hope you're feeling a little better too.

Susan - where are you, you're quiet! LOL
