Would have made more of a start by now only everything Ive bought is for DS birthday in Oct. However really pleased with the bargains I have got for that. Think he will have a lovely day.
I did get 2 boxes of liquers for 49p each from morrisons (branded ones). They came up as £2.49 at till and I questioned it, lady said she knew they were 49p as she was planning on buying some for her Mum for xmas. Supervisor checked price and they had gone back up to full price, but they let me have them for 49p. Would have bought more if id realised they were going up. Lady on till was gutted too.
Got my mum some trainers from amazon (bargain) and treating mum & dad to little break so thats them sorted. Grandad I got a digital photo frame months ago when on offer at Tesco with lots of CC points which will come in very handy for treating my lot. So really I am quite organised this year:T
Hi cjj
Those presents sound lovely, what a bargain with the chocolates......
Thats brill idea for the break, its something to look forward after christmas rush died down. I did that for mums bday - thou Miss Hoodie, me and Bailey (the dog), tagged along, we took her to see dreamboats and petticoats, it was a brillaint show.
I think part of their xmas presezzie b theatre tickets for the new year.
xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
B+M - nipped a flying visit round, they've started getting a good range of xmas prezzies in, but worth having a look incase anyone interested, we got a set of 12 mini bottles Bells Whisky, £10.99. They have a single one done in cellophane for £2.50, also had single tequila and glass £2.50, and a double set for just under £4. The bottles now end up in the breakie hampers.
Was wet, wet, wet in Rhyl, didn't even bother with the market, so went to a couple cheapie shops, got few bits and pieces.
back to the studying, no peace for the wicked...... just wish could rememebr that far back!! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Morning Ladies
Feel so behind, your all doing really well. :j Getting lots of bargins and getting organised.
Weve just got back from windy rainy southport weekend break, had a great time with the kids. Spent all day saturday on the beach watching the aircraft from the airshow. We we all wrapped up warm though as it was really cold. Had soup for dinner in on the camping stove that took about 2 hours to warm up lol. Kids loved it until the car wouldn't start and had to call the RAC out. we ended up taking the kids back to pontins (thank goodness it was only a 5 min walk) and my mum stayed waiting for RAC man. Blinking battery had gone flat from DS2 listening to Dr Who CD in the car. All good fun though.
I managed to use some prezziebox vouchers that I had and £17 of paypal (from TCB) to order some prezzies for the kids, got 2 make your own bouncy ball kits, make your own kaladascope and a triop world kit and it only cost £4.60 of my own money :j
Well time for another coffee
Take care all, and big hugs
Sarah

Hi everyone
Sounds like there have been some busy weekends going on. After my MOT costs I don't think I'll be doing much shopping for Christmas until I get paid!
Went to a Golden Wedding anniversary party on Saturday and a christening on Sunday so I've been busy enough - took me 4 hours to drive back to London last night there was so much traffic. So not impressed. OH had to buy me a chinese takeaway when I got home to cheer me up so not all bad
Had a look on ebay at cellophane and a few ribbony bits, think I will definitely get some to do the hampers as they're not a bad price and P&P costs less if you combine items.
The craft show at the NEC sounds good, think I might try and go to that. Am going to the scrapbooking and craft show at Alexandra Palace this weekend while OH is at the football. Might have to ask him for a loan... :rotfl:
Have a nice day everyone0 -

I find that not all but some larger boots stores do a clearence sale, ive bought moisturisers for £1.50 before and been nothing wrong with them...there christmas 3 for 2 are out to aswel so im keeping an eye out for extra special gifts there...
the 99p store is alot better then the pound shop i find especially for shampoo and toiletries, if you fancy doing a beauty hamper...0 -

Hobbycraft show at NEC only £3 if you've got any Tesco vouchers. While you're there, ask OH if I can have a loan too! :rotfl:
Fenna - welcome to the thread hun. The challenges are set by Mum2one, on the 24th, so I should wait until the next one. There's usually a long list of suggestions but you just choose what are suitable for you.
Organised Christmas wasn't for me (too rigid) but I did print some lists off to use.
Vistprint and Hotprints are for free photo albums, or calendars that you can give as gifts. Great for pics of kids to give to grandparents. Free, and special too - what more could you ask for? LOL

Morning everyone, more newbies to our thread, brilliant isnt it.
I won the books I had bid on Ebay so they are on the way for Grandson's birthday in November. Thats all the birthday presents finished for this year.
Still havent started sewing the Barbie clothes yet as spare room is in a mess from decorating. Might have to try to clear a space and get started soon though as cant do any more decorating until next month now so could be getting on with the sewing instead.
Hope everyone's fine today, it looks nice and sunny out down here. Not going out though I dont think. Have a good day, Rufus xx0 -

Hi elysia
I'll be watching - QVC is keeping me company this week!
I bought the Rrices Candles set last year which was 5 candles and 5 candle snuffers and 5 gift gauze bags and they were lovely. A few people complained about the way they burnt and didn't smell strong but they were fine for me.
I kept 2 and put 3 in 3 Christmas Eve hampers and I thought they were lovely gifts that worked out at about £5 each. I'll be keeping an eye out for these on Sat and probably buying them again as I love candles all year and esp in Winter/Christmas time as it creates a nice glow
BTW I'm now signed off for a week with flu - there was a reason why I felt as rubbish as I did then!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
