  • Morning Susan, hope you're ok and overcoming this BB problem

I'm sat watching TV and as the weather is so grey and miserable it feels very autumnal here and making me think its nearly winter and Christmas!

While I'm sat here with this cold and more I'm having a think about how I can present the car care hamper, the garden hamper and kitchen hamper so they look glorious. Haveing a think about what to present them in and a little mosey on ebay for some presentation stuff

Car Hamper - some in a bucket alongside rest in a large trug
Garden Hamper - Large basket including packets of seeds in a nice tin or box, rest of boxes of seeds, plant pots, tools in a trug, some wrapped up if won't fit in
Kitchen Hamper - wrap up denby box set, make up hamper in a basket including rest of denby, cafetiere, coffee, tea bags, preserves in a jute bag plus anything else in there eg Christmas Cake

Just made a note of it while thinking about it so I can note in down later on

  • Fedup DD1 had 4 months off for summer not the usual 6 weeks like the kids, she's only back for 4 weeks and it's half term. Argggghhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Well done on braving it and going back to Uni. You're amazing, working full time too! Here's me being nosey again, what are you studying?

Susan - NEC Festive Gift Fair is November too, 22nd to 25th. I've got a ticket for Hobbycraft show too, What day are you going? I might see you there. The gift fair, I go with my Mum and two sisters, it's our girly day out. It usually takes us an hour to unpack the car. :rotfl:

I was only joking about the 4mths and 15yrs bit :rotfl:Only because there had been such a long gap for me

I'm doing a part time Masters  Reality has hit home past the excitment part of it about how difficult this may be still its worth giving it a good go as have been allowed to by work.

That's one of the reasons why I've tried to be so organised about Christmas as I think I will be very busy at this time studying rather than shopping - eek!

Would have made more of a start by now only everything Ive bought is for DS birthday in Oct. However really pleased with the bargains I have got for that. Think he will have a lovely day.
I did get 2 boxes of liquers for 49p each from morrisons (branded ones). They came up as £2.49 at till and I questioned it, lady said she knew they were 49p as she was planning on buying some for her Mum for xmas. Supervisor checked price and they had gone back up to full price, but they let me have them for 49p. Would have bought more if id realised they were going up. Lady on till was gutted too.
Got my mum some trainers from amazon (bargain) and treating mum & dad to little break so thats them sorted. Grandad I got a digital photo frame months ago when on offer at Tesco with lots of CC points which will come in very handy for treating my lot. So really I am quite organised this year:T

  • I don't blame you. Sun is trying to peep here, but lately it's been so cold. We've started putting the heating on, and I don't usually until at least October.

    Hello all :j

fedup - well done doing a masters...........I'd love to do some studying of some sort but it all seems to be so costly -plus would me brain cope??.......:rotfl:

elysia -we've got the heating on too.......put it on half way through the week. It's just on in the evenings at the minute.

Got up with headache this morning and no susan.............lol I wasn't up half the night watching horror films...............:rotfl:Only did that the other night really because our lad seemed to need some company. Anyway, bootfair was the plan this morning but rain stopped play so no bargains here ! Instead I sat and wrote a few letters to friends who were due one.
I did look in the ''stash room'' and re-organised one of my pamper pots............can hardly give grandaughter anti wrinkle cream can I............lol

Off to have a look at that m & m site.........not heard of that before. Maybe I'll find a coat...........??
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
