susan -poundlands a must and I'll get foster daughter to take me...............want some of those self laminting sheets...........and anything else that I see thats a bargain for christmas
clare -well done with avon and the complaint being sorted.
Don't seem to have done much today but did get anadin boxes covered with christmas paper for my ''smile'' pebbles so thats something.
Parcel arrived with some stuff I'd ordered.....oh eck.......I ordered some alphabets and they're the ones you stamp  Never done that before............have to go to the craft shop and see how much a stamping set is.............typical me...............lol:rotfl:
Had a go at making a heart out of wire and buttons........well the only wire I'd got was florists wire.........thought that'll do so threaded all the buttons on, bent it to heart shape, tied ribbon at the top and all of a sudden it wasn't heart shaped anymore......... Don't you just hate it when things go wrong...............oh well, if at first you don't succeed.....................I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

On the grabbit board there is a thread for the Lakeland Gardening Sale - massive reductions plus a free delivery code which comes off at a lower spend than the usual £50
I've just got a load for not much at all for me and for mum - result! I can recommend the grandpas weeder for dandelions as I bought one earlier this year at full price - just ordered one for mum's ever expanding gardening hamperfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

I then started work on another one (alot of the pics from same camera as pics used on first calendar) and I noticed it said the same as you. I ordered the calendar anyway and am just waiting for it to arrive. I think it should be any day now so if you want to, hold off till I have got mine and I can let you know if it makes a difference?
I cant see the 2 free calendars offeris it through a cashback site?
hi
the 2 calender offer was via an email - think its called magic freebies, they send u an email daily with 8 free offers, most are junk, but the calenders jumped out, guessing it must be through the link only, xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hi Kerri
Welcome to the thread, if you fancy trying the Santas challenge - thats the 24th of each month, (lists may look long, don't worry just think of it as a pick and mix, if theres 10 suggestions and 1 is a help then thats brilliant, my daughter (shes nearly 8, her nickname Miss Hoodie), she helps with the challenges, but has this thing for cleaning suggestions!
xx
Thanks for the welcome - I'm really enjoying the thread, though trying to keep up with this and the NSD challenge thread is a challenge in itself :rotfl:Will deff have a look at Santas challenge too
Feeling quite on top of Xmas this year - nieces/nephews and godchildren (OH from LARGE family) all get £ these days. This isn't us copping out but they are at the age where it's hard to know what they really want and I'd rather give X amount of £ that they can either save or put towards something more expensive. Plus, as they don't all live nearby, postage has to be taken into conisderation when sending gifts.
I'm planning chutney this year for several presents - been itching to make it since last year when I watched Kirsties Homemade Christmas - so I'm making her Winter Chutney and also Nigella's Chilli Jelly - is it too early to start making it? seems some folks have started and I'd love to fill up the jars I got from Freecycle (in true MSE manner)
Clare - well done about your outcome with Dreams. Tbh I have heard only poor feedback about some of their products and cust service. We bought a brand new bed last Dec from eBay - divan with storage draws, and a memory foam topped pocket sprung mattress. Cost us about £280 and I couldn't be happier with it. Some feedback on eBay has said the base is fairly basic construction but it's no worse than the Myers one we prev had.
The cust service was fab too, bed is comfy and the delivery guys were lovely AND I didn't even have to ask them to take thier shoes off (it was around the snow time in Dec) - they actually said they'd bring it all in first to the lounge so they could take their shoes off and carry it upstairs for me. We went into Dreams to try a similar bed before our purchase and the guy said he could do us a really good deal....£1600 ...oh but that did include a free headboard! We said we'd think about it :rotfl::rotfl:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Mary - Glad it got there safe, u deserve a little treat.
Claire - thats brilliant news about the bed, but what a fuss they made, guess its hoping tha you'd of dropped.
Digressing again.....
sommerfield / co-op - they've got celebrations, quality street, hero's and sunthing else - all £4.75 a tin
Down the sweet aisle, they've got boxes of thortons (not tradational boxes), like quality street boxes, there half price as well.
What a day....
Took Miss Hoodie to the opticians, they were running an hr late, apparently the 1st two appointments were husband and wife, apparently they were sat in the car outside the opticians thinking they were early!! best thing was 2 of the staff recognised them...... Bless her she needs new glasses, just for blackboard at school, so she goes straight to the designer pairs...... me was going pale as saw £125 a pair...... thinking heck, she only had glasses 6 months, but luckly as the optician had said she needed a 6 monthly check up, we had the nhs voucher, so only paid £30 towards them.....
Were in Rhyl 4 weekend - got to the site, bit of a pain as we had to pay £20 for linen hire with the booking.... then they asked for £25 depoist for the bedding to make sure we don't steal the bedding....... then said oh you've got a dog..... yes we've paid for him its on the invoice.... oh right while thats another £50 depoist....... (me), actually he's a pedgiree he cost a lot more than £50 and no were not leaving him behind!!! (ok bit naughty!!), oh no madam we want £50 depoist because of the dog....... all they got was £10....... won't tell you what I found on the quilt........ !!xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
