Queenb - More hopes that the school sort it out, bless her. Its wrong you should be scared to go to school.
Cookie -I couldnt find plain gift tags last year so ended up making them myself.

I want to make some photo calendars for family using photos of Pip. Saw Vistaprint do them for about a fiver but I dont have many photos of a nice enough quality of Pip so I rang a well known photo studio to ask if the did CDs with your photos following a session. Yes they say..................................£150!!!!!!!!!! I told her I only wanted them for calendars, oh she says we do calendars.........................£30 each!!!:eek:
Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700

  • queenb - I echo the others, hope it gets sorted really soon and your daughter feels much happier!

cookiecrumbs - I got my cellofane last year on ebay - only needed some for about 5 or 6 hampers, and was the easiest option for me.

Had a mass of bargains last night. I work til 7 on a wednesday and popped to Mr A on the way home. Well, talk about timing, they were marking down food! I ended up witha garlic pizza, corned beef pasty, large pot of clotted cream, piece of salmon, pack of 2 apricot crows, pack of 3 apple dohnuts, pot of potato salad, pack of 4 mini curry pasties and a pack of two fresh breaded cod pieces - all priced at around 20p!!!! Some were eaten last night, some I have for lunch today in work, clotted cream in the fridge (it'll keep fine for a few days more!), and the salmon pizza and cod all went in the freezer!! Right place, right time.

The most organised I am for Christmas at the moment is regarding what OTHER people are getting DD for her birthday and Christmas!! lol Need to sort myself out...

  • I'm sat here off work with an horrendous cold/flu type virus sinus thing had since Sunday and my Thorntons Choccies have just arrived - 2 days from order to arrival

The £5 boxes are massive - bigger than I expected and the free box of classics is the size I expected for the £5 ones

Very pleased and need to put them out of sight to not tempt me to open a box for myself early!

Am going to get the girls some scrapbooking bits to put in them as they both like scrapbooking and hobbycraft have some nice bits in there sale.

queenb I do hope you manage to sort things soon we had a similar problem with my daughter a couple of years ago it all came out after she had had a cup of hot chocolate thrown in her face but the school dealt with it straight away and informed me of everything that was going on as to suitable punishment for the bully.

Mumtoone lollypop sticks free in costa coffee....pick up a couple at a time, then two ways of doing it, pick up a pack of stickers in wilkinsons or print you own in a shape of a circle, laminate and stick back to back identical ones. (Pictures of wellys, pots etc loads on google) Self laminating sheets in £1 shop if you havent a laminator

iday77 welcome to mse organised for xmas:beer:

toothfairy well done on you bargains.

Queenb sorry about the bullying, I really feel for your daughter, i hate bullys you feel so defenseless

Cookiecrumbs wilkensons /staples for tags, i have absolutely loads here 7cm x 3.5cm, i could post some to you if they`re big enough for you PM me if your stuck.

As regard the cellophane I buy it from a warehouse 30metres for £15...extremely heavy but if anyones stuck i could post it at cost. Its the same as the one on my blog. I think you can get 5 metres in for the price of a large letter.

Pipsmum if you go through topcash back to vista print for your orders it will work out free and you can order 4 free items at a time. And when you get some free items they mail shot you and you end up eith calender for free.

All the christmas stuff in our house is in cardboard boxes in our bedroom. There's loads of them. Last week I had to phone my mum to collect a change of clothes when I was admitted to hospital. She obviously had to go in my room. The christmas stuff is all away in boxes - it's not messy, but she kept making hints about how I should chuck out all the things I've been hoarding. :rotfl:

Hi, I was looking for some inspiration on these boards late last night and came across the offer for the weekend bag from books direct. So I ordered a couple and the early learners and getting ready for school learning to write, add up etc. set. Today, I am wondering if these are real bargains or the type of things I would find in Home Bargains or similar for next to nothing. I don't have little ones myself so don't really know but wanted them for friends child. Can you help please? Thank you

    Xmas Saver!
    Morning!

queenb - hope all is ok with your daughter and you get it sorted.

mum2one - these lolly sticks? Have they got something stuck on the end, or drawn on?

I ordered a couple of bits from Vistaprint last night - they were doing 50% off so it worked out about £12. I also bought some calendars and wrapping paper from a charity website (not very crafty I know but I can justify it if the money is going to a good cause!) So I am getting there...

Does anyone know where I can get plain gift tags? - like cardboard ones. I want to stick stuff on them and make them Christmassy myself so I just want plain brown ones. Also, is ebay the best place to get cellophane wrap for hampers from or does anyone use anywhere else??

    Thanks :)

Cellophane I always buy from this seller on ebay -
Just brought one of his items up, but he does have a good selection, good quality and he has a policy of a maximum postage, he also done the florist ribbon, cheap comapred to buying it as "christmas wrap".

The lolly stick things, size of a small badge (10p coin size) but wasn't the backing of it. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
