Hi There
I am new to this thread and hope its the one most suited to this post (apolgies if not!!)
I have gone back a few pages and seem to have some great ideas for gifts. However, are you just looking for craft based ones or do you also post on ideas for shop bought gifts?
One idea we had this week for our 2 little ones (4 & 6) Xmas gifts. We have a "family" DS which they share on car journeys etc (I doubt they would get enough use out of one each so dont plan on going down that route)
However we were going to sell 6 old games we had which dont get used any more. These dont sell for great prices on Ebay so have traded 2 old games in for a new game - this is offered by our local Smyths Toy Store.
Cant wait to read more tips

Susan42 - Don't give up!! You will get through to them even if it feels like you're banging your head against the wall. Did they actually cancel it all?! I know it's a nightmare dealing with big companies but you won't be the first or the last to complain if you're getting rubbish service!!
Are there any template letters on this site? If I find anything I'll pass it your way.
I'm trying to be thrifty gifty!! I started my blackberry vodka today, should be rather tasty by xmas- not that I drink it, it's going to be a present!!
Got an interview on Thursday about my 8th one so I'm hoping it will change my luck!Married in 2016. Bought our first home in 2017. Expecting our first baby in November 2017
Frugal & thrifty as much as possible.0 -
susan - I agree with dramarama - don't give up! Write old fashioned letters, cc them to the trading ombudsman (even if you don't send it to them!! lol) and give them a time deadline in which to respond to you, otherwise 'I will be taking this futher' and name a few heavy companies!! There's plenty of advice on this very website about the best way to word it. In the meantime, get to your bank and cancel the direct debit to Sky!!

Hi All (long time lurker here!!)
Susan42.....I had major probs with Sky a while ago......
1. Call the freephone number....its on saynoto0870 and go through to Retentions dept.
2. Send email to andrea.zappia@bskyb.com Managing Director. I did this when I had issue and they called me within a couple of hours and gave me £80 refund for all the probs I had.
