I shouldn't laugh had to do DD2's hair tonight to but you ought to invest in the nit free comb its great no need for lotion and it really does get all the eggs out to.
Just shampoo and condition hair and brush through.
Cheers - got a nice pink comb with the lotion, so that be used weekly - like it or not!!!
fedupandskint hope you are feeling better soon.
Just looked at the co-op leaflet and on the 15th -28th they have roses, quality street and celebrations for £4.75 and they are also doing terry's chocolate orange for the same dates at £1.25 and thorntons moments will be £4.75.
Those prices fab - think may have to do another detour.......xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hi all hope you had a good weekend
Mum2one, you and your Dad, it's like a sitcom LOL with that woman in the pharmacy, mind you, I was amazed that he didn't end up coming home with a box of sanitary towels, because some people call their monthlies - 'visitors' !!
Mary, that's a terrific bargain, that hamper costing £4.
Oh heck that would of been so funny....... weird the expressions we use, I use to time of month, a friend of mine says shes having the decorators in... the 1st time asked her what room she was having done!!
You reminded of an incident years ago, I was on holiday with my then boyfriend, time of the month came early, so sent him to the shop on the site, he comes back with tampax, not in a bag - his excuse while they weren't mind, he'd been gone about 1hr, literally the caravan we were in to the shop 2 min walk there and back, he'd only nipped to the club for a pint......he forget they were urgent! Xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hello all :j
mum2one - thanks for the 'grandparents book' hunt........oh your post re visitors did make me laugh..............lol Nearly fell off the chair.......:rotfl:
glad you were sat down safe - think u and hubby seen enough of hospitals,
fedup - get yourself to bed and wrap up warm.........hope you feel better soon -hugs(((:o))) ditto from me as well
-bless him, sleeping through it, sorry, had visions of you having a drunk singing sweet love songs - till I read it.......
everything...............let our lad in (tempted to tell police to take him to cells for the night) ! His mates mum came round this morning with his hoodie he'd left...........she wasn't happy........seems they'd gone off out once she'd gone to bed and she thought they were all asleep ! Got up eventually at 11am feeling shattered so all I've done is varnish the pebbles I painted ''smile'' on and check through sons girlfriends birthday box to make sure I'd got everything in it..............I hadn't,..............so had to forage round my stash to top it up. All done now though so just my friends birthday stuff to do and the rest is christmas !!! Thats when I'll panic...........have I got it all ? By the look of the spare room I have but by the time it all gets boxed up I bet there's something I've forgot.
Foster daughter called and she's taking me shopping sometime next weekend for cheap fur lined boots and new coat.............(plus whatever else I can find thats cheap!!) Save me ordering online and paying postage -relief.
Contents of sons girlfriends box are a mini-pamper tub (gravy tub full of freebies); box of spa bath stuff (unwanted xmas pressie -I had 2); sean the sheep bath scrunchie thing as she loves sheep (50p); necklace with a enamelled rose medallion on
£1) ; wooden massager (unwanted pressie -I'd got two) ; ribbon key ring/handbag charm (whatever she chooses) no cost there either; flannel with soap tied with ribbon - (spare soap I'd got -flannel 50p)
Box scented candles (£1.50-charity shop) Exfoliating gloves (50p -charity shop)
So, not bad all told -total cost £4:T
Your doing absolutely brilliantly, with all your presents, wish there was a magic fairy that did all the tidying up and put all the presents ready for wrapping xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Mum2one, that was unusual, your b/f not having a bag for that kind of purchase - and going to get a drink on the way too. I bet you were furious when he got back so late! Getting the decorators in
now that is unusual.

mum2one I always wondered where that nickname came from and now I know, how funny!!
Sounds like everyone has been busy lately, I had a lovely weekend by the sea. My OH told me to book today off work as holiday then realised we'd actually be back last night. Oh well, can't complain at a free day off! I think I'm going to go and have a mooch round the shops for some Christmas inspiration (and maybe something new to wear for me too! I have an anniversary party and a christening to go to this weekend.)
fedupandskint hope you're feeling better today too.0 -
Hope you're feeling better fedup.
Mary, Juliejim got you a grandparents book. Could you Pm her?
We don't have nits in our house either - we must be common because ours are Lodgers not visitors. :rotfl:
Didn't do ebay. Can't seem to summon up the energy for anything at the moment. Shops and garden centres are slowly getting stuff in, so hopefully will start getting some Christmas spirit soon.
This morning DD2 saw a Boggle game advertised that she said she wants - I've already bought it. I used my Tesco vouchers about a month ago. :j
Oh by the way - I've made chilli jam (gorgeous - yum) and also green tomato chutney (haven't tried it yet). I had pickling vinegar left so chucked some hard boiled eggs in and will give them to Dad (yuk).I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Hi there, feel dreadful today and a terrible nights sleep waking up bunged up, head bunged up etc so gave in and got up at 5am. Took today off as wouldn't be nice sharing all these germs atm
Had a rifle through through my medicine cupboard and taken some boots day nurse liquid which has improved some of the symptoms so I'm adding this onto my winter prep list to restock so its in ready in case this reappears again. At least have stopped shivering now - need to get over this as start uni again tomorrow and on 2 days of induction and registering.
I'm tucked up in a blanket, cup of tea and some chocolate biscuits and having a browse on the HM Christmas thread to see whats going on over there
elysia - can I borrow your green chutney recipe please? I may have some green toms to use up if they ever appear from the flowersfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

elysia I too would like your recipe for green tomato chutney. we have loads of green tomatoes which are very slowly turning red but I think I will have to use them soon
all your visitors and decorator stories have made me laugh
mum2one we have been camping in Northumberland and it was very windy - I have had my hoodie hood up all week end:D
I have made lists for all my presents now all I have to do is start making and buting. this thread is fab:Tsaving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Here's the recipe I used. If you read the comments at the bottom, people recommend using half the amount of vinegar. I didn't, but I would next time - I was boiling the mixture for 2 hours instead of the 1 it says.
Mine made 6 large jars (the Asda curry ones) it would be better in smaller ones, and that way you get loads to give as pressies.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!
