I havent been out today or yesterday, waiting in for sky to phone which they didnt.

Long story , which shortened is:-

They cut my broadband off thursday night.
I phoned asked why, after numerous checks they said its on, i said it isnt, after the usual 5 people 4 and half hours on phone. They told me they were going home, phone today. 1-2pm, they didnt i phoned them 6 people later (57 mins) They know they cut me off but i`m still paying, they have to cancel broadband on paper, and restart it:eek:
    Why?
    "Dont know"
how long it going to take?
"could be 1 week, one month, a year, maybe 2" And when i receive email telling me it cancelled, they can then put it back on which is another 14 days"
ME: so it could be 3 year 14 days
    Sky : yes
Me : HUH?? So when will it be connected again
Sky : Dont know, i could give you a date but i`d be lying!!
Me: Can I speak to a manager?
Sky: We havent got any....but i could send an email and get someone to contact you in 72hrs....

So ladies and gent , Is this normal to treat someone like this? I have phoned them twice since but am getting no where. My last phone call i asked could i cancel the broadband and they said I`m not with them.....even though they agree i`m paying them.

HELP........ Has anyone got any advice for me, i`m pulling my hair out here, . And who knows when my broadband will be back on

We kept having that happen for nearly a year they would cut it of and tell me it wasnt and they even got bt engineers out to check it only to be told by bt it was skys problem and they had cut it of they do have managers and supervisors it was only when I demanded to speak to one and threaten to cancel all my services they sorted it out:mad::mad:

  • abdonz - what about something personalised. My Mum too needs nothing and I struggle so I always get her something to do with the grandchildren which she loves.

Last year I got my two children and my brothers son (her only grandchildren) and took some lovely photos of them. I then got a shopping bag made for her with a photo of them on it and I also got some a notepaper set for her with the kids photos at the top. She's very proud of the kids so she loves sending her friends letters with their photos on.

    Hope that helps...

If anyone has little girls to buy for this xmas Mr T has a glitch on this weekend. If you buy a disney sweatshirt for £10 you get a pair of £3 leggings for free BUT at the moment if you buy two sweatshirts and two leggings the till discounts £13, making one whole outfit free! Available ages 5-6 up to about 12 years old I think. I have now got my friends twins birthday presents sorted and two sets for my little one. £6.50 each outfit. Bargain.:T

Forgot to mention, thanks for all the tips for the card. I am going to use it and see if I have any suitable crafty bits to make it a little bigger

Mums DVD arrived today and is in the present pile, another one ticked off.

Just need to update my lists again to see whats left to do over the next few mths

Also just deciding whether to buy the le crueset stoneware set on offer in Argos for mums kitchen hamper or reign it in a bit (£15.99 - a good price less than 1/2 price)

That sounds a brilliant price for le crueset, there really expensove in terdational cook shops, xx

That is the sky phonecall pattern, I would ring them and say 14 days, just start talking about breach of contract, unmerchansidle quality (stretching it bit - ) basically your paying for a service that you can't use, esp if you have the sky broadband as part of a service, ask how much longer your in contract for, point out that your considering leaving.

    Good luck xx

I know some of our lovely ladies and 1 gentleman, may already use it, but as much reminder for me to do, and may be useful for someone else.

Topcashback - Goto Vistaprint - apparently you can have (think) upto 3 free things, guessing you pay postage), but get £5 from cashback, and can do it once a month.

I've had quite a few good things from Vistaprint over the last few year, always look for the sample side and go from there, def recommend them.

Plan 2mor - subject to this stupid chest infection, is list on ebay - free weekend listing, - I don't really like them as a seller, think theres a lot of competation, better for buyers, if I don't do it this weekend, still be there in 6mths..... then have a peep at Vista Print.

I don;t know if the right bag, but you can upload a photo for a canvas lightweight bag, did one for Miss Hoodie - when we were in Tunisia had vest saying Tunisia, so had the photo on the bag - thought be funny when we were due to go back to Tunisia.... xx
