A cold has arrived here big style -very sore throat, bunged up and runny nose and feeling not too great
Think I might lounge around for the rest of the day after doing all the cleaning today
In fact might go to bed as feeling worse as I type - going to update my presents list and see whats left to get and wrap myself up in a blanket listening to the footie on the radio
Sorted out the card/paper/tags/bow drawer this morning. found a matching paper and bag to wrap mums pendant in for the anniversary, not enough to wrap the vase - need some paper for this and some for a wedding present to drop off in a couple of weeks time (a Mr T Finest Cast Iron Casserole Dish for £7.50 bought a few months ago when they reduced them down from £35.50final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Hello all :j
mum2one - thanks for the 'grandparents book' hunt........oh your post re visitors did make me laugh..............lol Nearly fell off the chair.......:rotfl:
fedup - get yourself to bed and wrap up warm.........hope you feel better soon -hugs(((:o)))
Well I've not done much today thanks to our lad going to stay at his mates last night then him and mates decide to roam around town at 2 in the morning..........police picked them up and took them home so I got woken up with a light flashing at the window and my name being called out  Like having a nightmare !! OH slept through everything...............let our lad in (tempted to tell police to take him to cells for the night) ! His mates mum came round this morning with his hoodie he'd left...........she wasn't happy........seems they'd gone off out once she'd gone to bed and she thought they were all asleep ! Got up eventually at 11am feeling shattered so all I've done is varnish the pebbles I painted ''smile'' on and check through sons girlfriends birthday box to make sure I'd got everything in it..............I hadn't,..............so had to forage round my stash to top it up. All done now though so just my friends birthday stuff to do and the rest is christmas !!! Thats when I'll panic...........have I got it all ? By the look of the spare room I have but by the time it all gets boxed up I bet there's something I've forgot.
Foster daughter called and she's taking me shopping sometime next weekend for cheap fur lined boots and new coat.............(plus whatever else I can find thats cheap!!) Save me ordering online and paying postage -relief.
Contents of sons girlfriends box are a mini-pamper tub (gravy tub full of freebies); box of spa bath stuff (unwanted xmas pressie -I had 2); sean the sheep bath scrunchie thing as she loves sheep (50p); necklace with a enamelled rose medallion on
£1) ; wooden massager (unwanted pressie -I'd got two) ; ribbon key ring/handbag charm (whatever she chooses) no cost there either; flannel with soap tied with ribbon - (spare soap I'd got -flannel 50p)
Box scented candles (£1.50-charity shop) Exfoliating gloves (50p -charity shop)
So, not bad all told -total cost £4:TI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi all hope you had a good weekend
Mum2one, you and your Dad, it's like a sitcom LOL with that woman in the pharmacy, mind you, I was amazed that he didn't end up coming home with a box of sanitary towels, because some people call their monthlies - 'visitors' !!
Mary, that's a terrific bargain, that hamper costing £4.0 -
Had a trhe weekly schol newsletter, Miss Hoodies class have an outbreak of nits, (sods law shes one of them), she gets upset them being called nits - so we call them visitors!!
Shouldn't laugh - dad was going to Tesco - said go to the pharmacy - and your get the lotion from them... he rings home - the woman on the pharmacy wished me a good weekend, and hope we all had a good time, that was nice of her she told me to try the freezer aisle or the fridges should get a nice selection from there - I'm thinking ok, I know he goes to Tesco twice a week, and knows the cashiers, but pharmacy????? asked him what he asked for - he replied- "told her my grandaughter had note from school and the wife says she has the visitors need to get some stuff, wondering why she sent me down here - all I can see is food" - told him to go back and tell her its nits - but we call them visitors - he was too embarrased - called at Asdas instead on the way home....
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I shouldn't laugh had to do DD2's hair tonight to but you ought to invest in the nit free comb its great no need for lotion and it really does get all the eggs out to.
Just shampoo and condition hair and brush through.
fedupandskint hope you are feeling better soon.
Just looked at the co-op leaflet and on the 15th -28th they have roses, quality street and celebrations for £4.75 and they are also doing terry's chocolate orange for the same dates at £1.25 and thorntons moments will be £4.75.:jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j0 -

would suggest Wilkinsons or Dunelm, Home Bargains, or Pundland for a basket, or ask Mary, as what she can't decorate isn't worth asking.
Glad you got the calender sorted, I love ours, I've had for last 4 yrs - Miss Hoodie (dd's nickname - cut long story short, when she was 4, she was called a security risk in an amusement arcade as she had her hood up on her cardi!! - after me getting involved, she made the nationals, radio, tv, even papers Ireland, thing is was our photo as I'd sent it to local paper in Wales - snowballed everything - the pic was theres they had the money - since then Miss Hoodie nickname).
Don't know anyone doing bogof, think Sainsburys and Tescos have various tins for £4, not sure which types thou sorry) xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
