Hope everyone ok, both Miss Hoodie and me, have missed you.

Holidays and me - certainly an adventure, thou overall more positives than negatives, now ex is being a pain, so had police over this morning, filling in forms, thats got to go to another department, and then I go in and give statement - so fun and games.

Must say very lost last week, we had 1st part of hol in Dawlish Warren, weather was mixed, then bank hol week in cottage on back end of Dartmoor - great bar no mobile reception, no internet reception!!!

Then Miss Hoodie came down with "visitors", rush to the chemist.... the woman said do you want the 15min solution or overnight, I said the 15min I'm sharing a bed with her!! Luckly that cleared it up.

Can't believe how well everyone has been doing, I've been going through, going love that, jot the post and page number down.......

Miss Hoodie was very exicted she thought it was time for the next challenge....... but shes ready for the 24th!

Miss Hoodie goes back to school on Tuesday, just need one more cardigan, thought I'd got 2, but no one was a jumper..she'll wear it, but try to use cardigans while still warmish. All sorted, bless her she wanted trousers, but was a nightmare, they fitted on the waist and were about a foot to long...... so settled for skirts.

Got my parcel (should refrain parcels), from Half Cost, bulked up on the last 3 4 2 offers, got piano bags they were £3 for 2, then mugs, they were plain white, 4 for £1, thought they'd come in ready for Santas mugs, the poor neighbour, his hall was full with the parcels, he also collects our post....

all my odds and sods have come from ebay, so can now finish off the jewellery making, got a feeling may need some more earrings but there a couple of quid...thats the plan to have done by end of Oct.

Can't believe its not far to my holiday..... with the friend.... hes so funny posted him a brochere, so he could see where we were staying, and he chucked it in recycling, (I gave him the site name, but forget to tell him the companies name).... so texted him the jct to get off at, and follow the signs, luckly its only 12 miles from motorway and signposted all way. He's said I've got to put my feet up and he'll make me a cup of tea, and could I book Sun lunch as its his treat...... a girl doesn't need to say no!!

Miss Hoodie is very exicted as she is having a bowling party for her birthday, its a maximum of 10 children, been debating what to do about the party bags, had originally ordered the pink piano bags for the party gifts, but they look to good..... and more expensive (worked out at 66p each on 3 4 2), when we were on 2nd part of hol, went to Tavistock market, the sweet stall, he made gift bag of sweets at £1 - in all honestly I couldn't do them for that, so we have 10. (Still in car waiting to be unloaded), will photo get them out.....

Shes choose her bday present, she couldn't decide between the dsXL or a bike, but now wants DSXL, so raiding vouchers, and mum said she'd go half on the difference, get a couple of games, and shes seen a scooter she wants - it has lights on it, seen it on Toys r Us, have to have a look 2mor.

Getting the wardrobes sorted this mth, and Miss Hoodie says shes grown out of some of her ds games, and her dslite go on as well, so be an ebay day.....

The worst bit - chipped a tooth, top row, and broke one from the bottom - thou confess was eating a refresher chew dd gave me........ Luckly there on the same side of my gob. xx

Forget to say a massive thank you to everyone, ur like family to us, and a big hi to the lurkers, newbies, jump in we don't bite (unless get my teeth fixed!! xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Hello all :j

Welcome back mum2one -do you have some exploits don't you................lol Do hope you keep a diary of all the things that go on..........I know I do but its not half as interesting as yours would be(or is if you already keep one)

Well, spent most of the day covering old tablet boxes with christmassy paper..........good way of using up some smaller bits and might make my home made 'concoctions' look better than they are.............lol:rotfl:

Collected some seeds from the garden to put in little packets for a friend of mine and drying out some lavender for lavender bags........have to google and check when it's dry enough to put in a bag.............thats next thing on my list of many...............lol:rotfl: (does it ever end??)

:jIve just printed all my planning pages:j

I had a look again at organized christmas and they said about setting up a planning centre! This description is lovely though
"As you plan, invoke a holiday spirit! Light a scented candle, play seasonal music or stoke up the nearby fireplace for a cozy atmosphere. Tuck a warm throw over the back of the chair, and cushion feet with a plump pillow. Framed photographs of loved ones adds a friendly touch, while a mug of hot chocolate is a tasty bonus!"
Just wish I had a house big enough for it!!

I went with a friend for a nosey at some showhomes yesterday, there was 1 totally gorgeous one but at £289,000 was a little out of my price range!!! It would have been THE perfect Christmas house though, plenty of room for entertaining. I was actually picturing places where a tree could go or lights or decorations. I WANT that house 014.gif

I do miss the open fire we used to have but it was so much work.......now its radiators and for a ''cosy'' look we've got a low table and arrange candles of different sizes on an old microwave plate and put pebbles all round them. Does make some sort of difference .......if it looks warm then you feel cosier.
We always put a blanket throw over the sofa as well to give that 'cosy' feel.............(the way the weathers going we'll be doing that before long.

Just a quickie - spotted Advent calenders on sale in Morrisons on 1st September, - had planned to pop the message that day - then remembered got no internet!

If I had a brain I would be dangerous!!

Had a compliment today..... my OU tutor, as when sent the last assisgnment in, sent him an email saying think lost the plot..... babbled on..... if I get 40 points that be a miracle, just picked up the assisgnment and I got 78. Bless him he sent me a reply saying how brilliantly I had done, that I know what I'm doing, and considering its the 1st presentation of the course good scores.

Put big smile on my face. Could be a bigger one later, were off to see Brian Connerly xx

    Hi everyone

Had quite a busy weekend as have company staying over the weekend. Did manage to find a couple of hours this morning to start making some Barbie clothes. Have made a coat and 5 pairs of trousers and have nearly finished another coat. Hopefully the dolls will arrive tomorrow so I can try them on.

Everyone looks busy, I wish I could make the pickles and chutneys but after last year's disaster I won't be bothering.

Its my Dad's birthday tomorrow, he will be 86. He is much better now, we went to the hospital a few weeks ago and they discharged him (he has prostrate cancer) and said he should continue with his medication but just needs to see his own doctor to check his blood tests 3 monthly and will only have to go back to hospital if something starts to go wrong. We are going over to take him out for lunch and then we are having a party for him on Saturday (not at my house but at my brothers as its bigger).

Daughter is back to school tomorrow so things will go back to normal again once our guest goes home tomorrow evening.

Hope you all had a nice weekend, Rufus xx
