    111 days until christmas

I watched four christmases last night - it's a good film, quite funny.

For the lady who asked organizedchristmas.com is much the same at this thread - just a countdown to chirstmas, you pick a plan to follow to prepare yourself for christmas, I like to do the grand plan, as it gives you housework to do each week so that u are all done by christmas and u can just relax and enjoy christmas cos everything is done. But because u start the cleaning now, it doesn't feel like an arduous task. The other things like lists and planning and stuff are already stuff we do here with mum2one.

I have some stuff on ebay this week so I will use the earnings to buy some more presents in. Got to get the shopping done.

Last year as well I bought two christmas cricut cartridges which I hardly tried so this weekend I am going to get them out and have a go. In prep for lots of christmas crafting xxx:j

Rufus - the teddy is fantastic! Was he difficult to make?

Susan - I love the sweetie 'cake' too, it must have taken ages to make. Did he like it?

Dramarama - jewellery would be small and easy to post. Asda often have sales and you can pick up really nice jewellery sets for a few pounds.

Toffeeapple - that fudge looks delicious! I made some plain fudge a few days ago. It was my first attempt and it came out really well, I was expecting a disaster! I think I'll try out the one you recommend as it looks so nice. Was it easy to make?

Hi Nicky - The teddies were not that hard to make, I found a free pattern on the internet and used that, then for the clothes I found another free pattern, this time for knitting a new born baby top and bottoms so just adapted it to short legs for shorts and short arms for the top. The scarf was easy. I had some blue fur already left over from years ago when I made a skirt for the christmas tree (we had a blue room then) so just had to buy half a metre of red and white and I had all the wool as well.

Very popular with teenagers who think your thick for giving them the answers in the questions.

Nicky DS loved the sweet cake, put it on facebook and all his friends want one

I cant remember who asked but it was very easy to make. The base was a flower pot and a ring of polystyrene.

I attached the sweets (love hearts) with double sided tape , stuck lollies in and filled in gaps with sweets in wrappers with double sided tape. It worked out cheap because I used Asda own make eclairs, and been collecting lollies, coins and sweets from out door market and Home Bargains for weeks.

Was a big hit and DD phoned and said could I post one to her...:rotfl:

Mc Jordi, how on earth did you get Wii game for £3 p&p , bargain

    Toffeapple, that fudge looks fantastic...:T

Mary - good luck on your course

scattyman organised grand plan sounds brill, i`ll check it out :)

And I like the quarter of site, great for ideas, and with a bit of a shop around, you can get the things at a fraction of the cost

The apricot and date late summer chutney is bubbling away for the next 2-3 hours

The picalilli mix is dry brining ready for tomorrow

The blackberry and apples gin is fermenting away all topped up and shaken

Most of the chutney making is done leaving a Hearty Ale Chutney to make in about 6 weeks and the Christmas Chutney then too.

Also yesterday got a massive piece of unsmoked gammon to put in the freezer for Christmas to use for Ham in Cola for christmas Eve and onwards over the festive period. Its on offer in Mr S, you can buy a piece about 4x's bigger for £10-£11 than the usual ones that cost £7.99. Nice bargain and is about to get tucked into the freezer.

Still feeling run down and mega tired - will just drag myself off to do a bit of cleaning in a while

Fedup - with all the running around christmas organising you've been doing, no wonder you're tired. Forget the housework for today - put your feet up instead, put a christmas dvd on and chill! If anyone asks, tell them Auntie Julie told you to! OK!!!!

I got my gadget shop orders today and everything I ordered was there too - it's just a pity so much of it went OOS before I could checkout! Grrrrr

Thanks Scattymam for the countdown (it was 143 last time I looked.) I'm off to register on organised christmas now. Ta

Have a nice weekend everyone. xxx

Thanks Aunty Julie - think I might as I am going downhill rapidly

Plus need to finish off the chutney in an hour or 2 - not too energy sapping thankfully and need to get round to cooking a chicken before it goes off, might notbe having the roast dinner I thought I was

Oh well, dvd here we come and a hot chocolate, better put the bedding back on too and then get snuggled up under a blanket on the settee as its cool here today

Fancy watching the Muppets Christmas Carol but don't have it so will have a look in the collection to see what's there and if there are any good black and white films I fancy watching or White Christmas!

There you go! Antie Julie knows best. LOL

I've been on the organised christmas site for the past hour. The grand plan is too rigid for me and the rudolph plan too lapsidaisicle (is that a word? LOL)

So I've been and printed Christmas card list planners off and I have gift planner lists (I did start off with a spreadsheet but I can keep this in my bag incase I'm out and I see something).

I'm so organised now I've even printed off a sheet with jobs on, who is going to be doing what in the few days running up to christmas (so there's no argueing). Also a list of gifts I need to make (sock monkeys etc) and things I need to cook/bake (OH at asda as I type, buying chillies for chilli jam).

I'm feeling really organised at the minute. I know the lists are blank and I need to fill them in, but even by having them I feel a bit better.

I'm just about the empty the boxes with christmas gifts in and sort out my spreadsheet - I may even be tempted to make up my Christmas Eve hampers as I've got all the stuff. If I'm not back on here in a week, come and get me, and If I'm still on here in half an hour, give me a kick up the bum and tell me off! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

OMG Elysia, I just checked your blog out, wow you got loads of stuff on, i remember when we were thinking of names....beautiful cards, well done you :T

I hope mum2 one ok she very quiet, must be busy with Miss Hoodie

fedup - the idea of cwtching up on the settee, appeals so much, perhaps I`ll go and do that ....the amount you get through puts us all to shame :o

My throat is sore, I have indigestion type feeling and feel tired - boo!

On a happier note the apricot and prune chutney is potted up and done. Just flicked through my thrifty cookbook and found a rather nice sounding tomato chutney recipe in there. Think I'll have a go at this one too if I feel better tomorrow as have practically everything in for this and it'll use up the bottle of malt vinegar I never get through!

I'm not swimming in a sea of chutney! I'm halving all the recipes and getting around 4 jars out of each. Planning to sell a few at work, give a few as gifts and keep a few myself.

Early night I think for me when I can drag myself to remake the bed
